Jon Krawczynski
Trey Lyles played in Denver when Tim Connelly was GM there. Can stretch the floor. This does NOT, I am told, mean that the Wolves are out on LeBron James. This is a depth piece at a position of need
I threw it in the PF thread, but he's more details from Jon K.

Edit:
Jon Krawczynski
Lyles played for Real Madrid last season, shot 43 percent from deep

He didn’t play in the NBA last year. He has been pretty much a 7 and 4 guy his whole career. He can shoot the 3 though and made over 40% from 3 last year over seas

One more thing on Lyles is he sacrifices his body and takes charges. He drew more charges his last year in the nba then the whole wolves team combined this year

I mean, hitting over 40% from 3 in Spain last year is nice, but he's a career 35% shooter on 3 attempts and I don't remember him doing much more than that. He's thick, which is nice, but I don't remember him being much of a defender or rebounder.

On the positive side, this might assure LeBron that he doesn't have to worry about losing playing time to another PF?

If this ends up being the backup PF, fine. But I hope we can get somebody better for the 4 so we don't have to rely on him for anything more than 10-15 minutes per game.

Good note. He's certainly a guy willing to bring physicality while being a stretch 4. Nice depth piece that adds rotation versatility.

His volume on 3's the last 3 years with the Kings was over 6 3's taken per 36 which is a pretty good volume for a big. He is a guy that does pretty much everything decently. I remember reading somewhere over a year ago the last couple years his defensive numbers were actually pretty good. The charges taken might be an indicator of that.

Combine Measurements
Body Fat Percentage: 12.1
Hand Length (Inches): 9.25
Hand Width (Inches): 10.25
Height (Without Shoes): 6'9
Height (With Shoes): 6'10.25
Standing Reach: 9'0
Weight: 241.2
Wingspan: 7'1.5

Watching the highlights of him in Europe he looks slimmer but he probably still weighs at least 225. With his length he could even play some small ball center. He isn't wildly athletic.

I remember early in his career his BBIQ wasn't the best but over time he progressed into learning what he could and couldn't do so he was a solid player in that regard. I think he also understands his place in the league.

I'll see what my friend who is a Kings fan has to say about him.
