I think it was Santos that was briefly on a 2-way with the Wolves, and then Zyon came back from an injury. The Wolves said "on second thought, we're switching that 2-way to Zyon!"

Lip he is already on a 2-way
Sportrac has him on a 2 year 2-way deal.

Good win. Pullin, Beringer, and Santos led the way for the Wolves. It's nice to finally have a shooter (Santos) on Summer League Wolves.

Beringer scored in a variety of ways: Jump hook in the lane, push shot along the baseline, made all his free throws, dunk off an in-bounds pass, drive for a hoop and harm from the top of the key. Just a terrific performance from him.

Pullin was the adult in the room. Smooth operator that is too good for a 2-way IMO. Either convert him to a standard contract or let him go to some other team.

Zikarsky with a really disappointing performance. Hopefully he bounces back in the next game.

Freeman looked out of sorts trying to create offense for himself off the bounce. Best used as a pure PF.

Rocco was better in the 2nd half. Still he looks to be a year away but I still like his potential. He needs to play more games.

Good to hear. I thought we had Rocco, Freemand and Kaufman-Renn on our three two-ways. Thanks.

Great job guys, I feel like I watched the game already. We need to get this version of Lip during the regular season.

I agree, Monster. I was really disappointed in Rocco today but it was just one game and I agree he looked better in the second half. He has a nice looking stroke and that corner three he hit is very repeatable. A guys who is 7’3 with that stroke should make it in the NBA if he works hard. I think he needs to do two things in particular: First, he needs to learn how to take better advantage of his length. He’s not quick, but I’ve seen bigs no quicker than Rocco have successful NBA careers. He can learn how to better position himself and use angles to supplement his length advantage. Second, he needs to bet physically stronger. He clearly has enough frame to pack on a lot of addition lean muscle. Right now you can see he lacks muscularity. We know physiologically that muscularity doesn’t peak until around age 30. Rocco is still 19. I’m not giving up on the Rocco era. :).

I wish I were there. My wife and I were just lamenting that we didn’t go this year. How was the vibe in the arena?

I wish I had known that before watching today’s game. I almost blew a gasket for nothing. :)

Now I fully understand why the Wolves front office designated Beringer along with Jaden as untouchable in the Giannis negotiations. He is a very special talent and he seriously reminds me a lot of a young Giannis. I believe they were both drafted around he same place in the 1st round. You might recall that Giannis had no jump shot early in his career. One might argue he still doesn’t. :).
