Why are they playing a day game today?

The WNBA does camp week. So each team does an early afternoon day so the kids can come. My buddy took his two daughters today and said there was so many kids and a good solid crowd.

I was wondering what was going on. I went to the Target Center Lifetime to work out at 11:30 this morning and noticed an unusual amount of traffic and lots of kids walking towards target center. When I arrived I was surprised the Lynx were playing. There were long lines of kids waiting to get in. It was a great sight. And the kids got to see a great Lynx victory.

Another convincing W for the Lynx. Got really good minutes from the bench. They did a ceremony for Fowles after the game because she went into the HOF (current fire assistant). You can tell how much Cheryl means to these past players. Legit Cheryl is the GOAT. Fowles wore a Lynx jersey today coaching the fire (would be curious the overreaction that would be if that balance happened in the nba)

I watched the ceremony, kek. I don't know if you did, but it was very well done. All of the speeches were terrific. I like this new iteration of Lynx, but I don't know that there will ever be a Lynx team with the personalities of those 2015 and 2017 teams...it was nice to have them all there last night.

I also saw the second half of the game. It's amazing how easily Miles navigates through a double team...opponents are going to learn quickly it's a bad idea that generally results in a layup or a good look. Everyone played well on offense, but the defense was atrocious against a not very good Fire team. Cheryl obviously was not happy, because she made a snarky comment in her Fowles speech about how the current Lynx could learn something about defense from the 2017 squad!

The ceremony was fantastic. And ya Cheryl is not happy with the defense. Talked about it again in her post game press conference. Pretty much saying it’s not a scheme thing, we have to stop using the excuse of it’s near the All Star game, it’s a want to issue, she also called out the guards saying our bigs are better at guarding guards than the guards. I think LIV has been great this season but she is starting to get lazy on defense in my opinion and Liete lit her up yesterday.

So terrific to have her back! I didn't see the game, but I'm hoping her return made Cheryl a little happier about our defense.
