Any rumors as to where she wants to go?
Only team I heard was Dallas, but we'll see.

Two things are assured

Phee is a goner

and if Dorka isn't a free agent, she will be as unprotected as a brand new iPhone for the expansion draft
The only teams the can realistically make a Phee max work are the Lynx and the Valkyrie, teams like Portland and Con can but she is not going there.

Outside of Phee, the Lynx have their other top 6 under contract next year and Kosu

They will also have negotiating rights with Chekova who was a stud rookie big before tearing her ACL.

Dorka, Caldwell, Deleare, Bibby, McDonald are all free agents.

Lynx will have I believe will have the 15th pick.

Every player outside of Liv is not under contract in the 2028 year and that is when players like Clark, Reese, Jackson, Brink become free agents for the first time

Weeks ago I thought Miles was going to be the guard that would be a difference maker in a championship run. For whatever reason she wasn't ready whether that was the rookie wall an injury or whatever she didn't play well. That's it they weren't gonna win anything without her playing well especially with the bench they had although Nia really played well in these 2 games.

Getting bounced in the 1st round definitely isn't want anyone was planning for although I think all of us saw it coming. It definitely seems like Phee will be exploring options. Maybe she comes back but it does seem less likely now. I also agree Dorka was a pretty massive disappointment this season. Ultimately the Lynx are in good shape though but they need to add something to the roster although just getting that young center back if she can play well coming off the injury that would be nice she really looked like a good player.

What a gut punch the last 6 games of the regular season and the quick exit in the playoffs were after such a promising season. Now we're forced to look at a not-so-pretty reality that goes far beyond Phee's plans. We also have to acknowledge that every starter other than Liv plus Brodie are over 30 and in the twilight of their careers. And while I'm still bullish on Liv, there is a chance her disastrous postseason may have a lingering psychological impact on her.

On the positive side, we have a world class coach, a terrific fan base, and ownership that cares about winning. Not sure that's going to be enough though. It feels like the window has closed.

Yep, As long as Cheryl is the coach it’s almost impossible to be bad. I would not be surprised if they trade Courtney in the offseason. I would be stunned if they traded McBride

Also LIV will be fine. She no showed a good amount at Notre Dame also. If she is special she will figure it out. We also have to remember she was playing banged up (not an excuse)

Cheryl just lost to an 8th seed. Some of the bloom is off the rose.

Let's see how far that 8th seed goes.

Is it possible that Reeve has become to the Lynx what Greg Popovitch became for the Spurs - a franchise fixture whose past success leads to a job-for-life and wider-than-normal berth for a non-owner to be outspoken and exert influence?

I'm not suggesting she hasn't earned it, BUT there is a danger to a franchise (or any organization) when a person becomes singularly intertwined with its identity. Is it at least time for her focus on being POBO exclusively and leave the coaching to someone else? My guess is only she can make that decision because no one else in the organization would dare suggest otherwise.

What are we talking about here? This was a team people thought was gonna be maybe a .500 team and they ended the regular season with the best record in the league and now Reeve is maybe not the right coach because they got swept in the playoffs mostly because their rookie PG played like a backup instead of a top WNBA guard? This team and roster still overachieved on the whole. Again let's see how the playoffs finish out. What if the Liberty win it all will the Lynx getting swept look as bad then?

I'm not referring to just this year. But speaking of this year.....regardless of what the expectations were at the beginning of the season, the reality is their collapse began well before the Liberty series. Does she not bear ANY responsibility for that?

She's been the head coach since 2010. Is there not such a thing as being in the same job for too long? And she's held two jobs (coach and POBO) since 2022. Her spouse is the head of business operations for the Lynx. Feels like they should be called the "Minnesota Reeves" instead of the Lynx!
