First, while the score was 16-10, the score would have been 23-10 if Hockenson had chosen to score late in the game rather than making the prudent decision to lie down at the 2. If we could stay healthy on defense and score 23 points a game, we would have a very successful season. Second, we were very efficient on third down...8 for 18 on third down (plus 1 for 1 on 4th) is a better than league average result. Finally, Murray's stat line looks good, and KOC said in his press conference today that he thought only one of his ten incompletions (the one to Addison) was a poor throw.

Let's keep in mind also that we were missing our best offensive player...we need to get JJ back.

(No, not that one...)
Was Hock's decision prudent?!? I have him on my fantasy team... Fortunately, he racked up enough points earlier in the game that I didn't need those last points to win my matchup! :)
Certainly controversial, Tim for both fantasy players and point spread bettors. I'd be really pissed off if I had placed a sizable wager on the Vikings to cover!

Was it prudent? Probably the best decision at the time. As KOC said in his presser, it meant the defense didn't have to come out on the field again so there was no chance of an injury (nobody gets hurt when the QB takes a knee). I think it was the right thing to do.

Certainly a number of the fans did have wagers or FF points on the line (also wagers), and for team morale, heck fan morale to actually see a TD, it would have been nice. Arguably scoring the TD there does more good overall (unless said defender gets hurt or whatever we will never know).

Still you play to win the game, but we did need a morale boost never the less offensively.
