Big, fast and confident...and can catch the ball. Longshot, but intriguing. You guys will enjoy this interview with him. He got interested in football by watching youtube videos of AP (no, not Adreain Payne, you wise guys), but they only had 7 guys in his town that played the game so he had to move to play. Loves the Vikings and wears #84!

I like the Mizzo LB Brothers. Could be a 2 down MLB but also made contributions on Special teams I college. Tough to argue with that kind of production. LB is gonna be a big time battle for spots if everyone stays healthy.

Honestly so far you can argue every pick has been to help fill a spot. Even the TE (Vikings LOVE TEs) because Ellison may not be healthy.

Well the Vikings finished up adding some more intruiging athletes.

I hope Jason is ok since his guy Tom Hackett went undrafted and signed with the jets. I was reading there is legit concerns about his rugby punting being able to translate at the next level.

And that brings us to the next phase UFA. I want the Vikings to sign Kenny Smith-Doughfield* a great athlete out of Middle East Missouri State.

*i just made up a name most of the guys in college football I have no clue who they are going into the draft much less the UFA process. The reality is the Vikings may have a tough time getting some UFA because there is not many open roster spots.

He certainly seems like a guy that should rise in the heat of camp.

The guy was two-time Ray Guy winner. I don't think the NFL ball is that different.

Locke was 32nd in average yards per punt (a full 4 yards below league mean) and 30th in net (a full 2 yards below league mean). To me, that is what the draft is all about. What are you bad at? Who can fix it immediately, or at worst a year down the road? The only thing I can think of is MIN thinks the ball is going to carry at US Bank (like it did at the hump) which can help close that gap. But if they passed on a punter and then end up waiving 4 or 5 of these picks like last year, shame on them.

Sidenote: I'm rewatching the "30 for 30" doc about the Magic. The only doc that ever made me laugh harder was "Some Kind of Monster".

TheSP wrote:The great thing about that trade with Miami is apparently the Vikings get either their 4th round pick or the best compensatory pick they get. In other words if Miami were to get an end of 3rd round compensatory pick that will go to the Vikings along with their 3rd round pick, rather than the 3rd and 4th round picks!

Funny story: So I read your post thinking "What has this guy been consuming? You can't trade compensatory picks!" When I googled it, and starting in 2017, you can. A tip of the cap.

But I can't find where MIN gets two thirds, and not a 3rd and 4th. Could you please post a link, or maybe give the website where you found it? I don't want to call any one a liar, or even mistaken, but think about what you're saying: That means MIA traded two 3rd's and a 6th for that 3rd. If that guy doesn't turn out to be Antonio Brown, MIA really screwed up.

Thanks
