After being begged by the Patriots to come there for 10 years and $300M he decided to take the Vikings one year offer so he could test the market again next year and hoping for an 8 year and $320M deal.

Mannion also knows that if he stays here its the best spot to hone his ability to become the next Tony Romo and cash in on the TV gig.

Vikings release Josh Kline. This one is a head scratcher. They don't save that much on the cap this year. I'm guessing there are offsets in his contract so maybe they will save like half of his base salary of 1.8 million but that's still not a lot for basically a decent starting guard. They do save themselves from paying him any money in 2021 also but still weird. They are really setting up Cousins to be a saviour. Dude nees to play with a chip on his shoulder right? lol Actually this whole team plays better fro Zimmer when they are supposedly not gonna be good. Speilman and Zimmer are geniuses!!! Of course alot of those guys are gone so...

That is interesting. Dru Samia must be ready. I would not have thought Kline before Rieff.

Bleed you got your wish about a DT. Surprised they ponied up the money for him although we will see what the cap charge is for this season.

Michael Pierce is a big boy in the middle. There are no guys like him in the draft. Put one of those huskers twins next to him and this DL will be just fine. Honestly, it shows we are not ready to hand this over to Jaleel Johnson.

I will say I don't think either Jaleel or Shamar are beast run stoppers like that either so a guy like that Does make sense. It was interesting the guys they put in there Sometimes on passing downs last year. No big tackles at all and a DE.

It would be interesting to see numbers on if they ever got gashed in the run game on some of those lineups.

I wonder if we are considering playing more 3-4 or 3-3 fronts. They could use Barr more as a blitzer. I think we would need another LB though.

It is sounding more like Griffen is looking elsewhere and not as likely to come back. Odenigbo and Weatherly both rushes quite a bit fro the inside. If Griffen leaves we currently have 3 DE and a PS guy. Vikings do have some LBs on the roster or they can resign cheaply I don't remember the FA of guys like Brothers etc.

Former Minnesota Vikings safety Jayron Kearse has reportedly agreed to terms with the Detroit Lions.
The 26-year-old will remain in the NFC North after penning a one-year deal worth $2.75 million with the Detroit Lions according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

He was a guy that just never seemed to put it all together. So much potential.
