He never really broke through. Just wasn't enough of a receiving threat.

He was a very good blocker. What I saw on Twitter was Part of the reason he was released was that his contract would be tolled and if his knee wasn't healthy his contract would be guaranteed. It was said that it's very possible if healthy they could bring him back.

I would bring him back before CJ Ham if healthy.

Other news: Ryan Tannehill agrees to 4-year deal with Titans worth up to $118 million
$91 million guaranteed. I think that sets the new price for Cousins. I think we should move on and draft a QB. I doubt we do though.

I don't think that deal set the price for Cousins. that's not even as good of a deal as Cousins got on his current contract especially considering the cap has and is going up. I saw reports he may wait to sign a deal till after Dak gets paid. Tannehill deal might make some that aren't sold on Cousins or paying him X amount of dollars to feel like their decision is set to move on but I wouldn't blame Cousins for waiting and seeing what else gets done. Also good for Tannehill I hope he is worth most of that contract. I've weirdly been pulling for him somewhat for a couple years.

I saw a rumor that I doubt is true but it would be kinda funny that Kyle shanahan isn't sold on Jimmy G and wants Cousins bad and hopes to sign him next season in FA. Not buying it but it was fun to read. Lol

I think the Tannehilldeal sets the floor on a Cousins deal. It makes him look paid fairly to me. I am a fan of Tannehill and Andy Dalton. I would love to see Andy Dalton move the Patriots if Tom Brady moves on.

Cousins reported signs 2-year extension. I hope we got the no-trade clause removed.

2 more years for basically 66 million. 33 million a year seems like a fair market rate for Cousins. I saw a report that this extension lowers his cap number 10 million this year. That's a lot of money later but would give them lots of options this year.

Also I see Dak got the franchise tag for 33 million. I'd assume Dallas and Dak can still work out a deal but with no timeline in sight for Dak Cousins the Vikings may have been able to move forward. They weren't going to be airing to see what Brady gets. Honestly I'm a year 33 million for Cousins COULD even look pretty good if he performs well because some guys are going to get paid. It will be interesting to see what the Vikings do at the position behind Cousins.

That is great! I am good with this. Let's say we suck next year we probably could trade him to the 49ers.

I wouldn't get my hopes up and the cap hit for the Vikings would likely be pretty monstrous. It will be interesting see how everything is structured in his deal.

Also CJ Ham with a 4 year deal worth over 12 million a year. Pretty nice money for a FB. I believe in the new CBA minimum contracts went up a decent amount so that matters when looking at that deal.

That is big money for a FB. I wonder if we would have done this if Blasingame didn't get picked off our practice squad.
