Vikings vs Titans - Pre-Game Thread

Post by bleedspeed »

Time to get this started. Looking forward to watching football. I am not tied to the Vikings like I am the Wolves, but just enjoy watching football. I am certainly not looking past the Titans.

REMEMBER THE TITANS

If they don't get a win week one there is a very real possibility they start the season 0-3. Nothing new, but the responsibility for earning a win is going to fall squarely on the defences shoulders. I would love to see Bradford start, and excel as it would take some pressure of the D!

Yes, those were three separate thoughts presented as one terrible paragraph! Do not however that I did capitalize the one name!

Do you have a problem with strong men being possessive?

I was just making a bad joke about the lack of an apostrophe.

Nope, that's happening after the second drive.

is AD hurt? Saw he wave himself off and did not return. I'm watching online/streaming but I thought I saw him out there for the final snap. Can anyone respond to him looking hurt or if he went out there for the final snap?
Thanks

I didn't hear anything about an AP injury, TX...I think he was just ineffective, and the non-fumbling Assieta was a better option late in the game.

My baseball team had a double header this afternoon, so I just finished watching the DVR'd game. I was very impressed. Tennessee is clearly much improved with a lot of weapons on offense, but Zimmer seems to blitz at just the right time to create TOs. Tennessee has more first downs, total yards and won time of possession, but because of Zimmer's big play defense, the game just wasn't that close. Obviously it was frustrating that our running game was so terrible, but AP never has a good first game after missing the preseason...I'm expecting him to bounce back against the Pack next week.

Hill was quite impressive IMO. Most importantly, he was never sacked and had no TOs. I recognize the Titans are a poor defensive team and the offensive line had a role in both those stats, but Hill is better at recognizing when the pocket breaks down than I thought, and he made several heady plays. Yes, he doesn't throw a particularly attractive ball, but he is accurate and his pass to Diggs (?) in the 4th quarter was a thing of beauty. I agreed with the analysts after the scoreless first half, that Hill was not the main reason for the impotence, and I was pleased the coaching staff stayed with him in the 2nd half. I suspect Bradshaw will start next week, but I don't think it's a slam dunk. I think we can beat the Packers handily with either of them at QB.
