We signed to CB's to the practice squad. Is that a sign that things are not looking good for Rhodes?

Maybe and at first I thought so and it still could mean something about Rhodes. on the other hand I looked at both guys and what kind of prospects they are. Tre was a college QB last year. They clearly like him to some extent they cut him and brought him back a couple times already. Its hard to think he is an option to help out too significantly if Rhodes is out. Wilson is more intriguing. 6'2" with pretty good speed but he didn't do enough in college to convince people he could play based on what I read. He broke his leg last year early in minicamp for the Ravens and spent the season on IR. It looks like he was let go in the last cuts for the Ravens this year. So he doesn't have game experience, but he has been around the league at least and probably did some sort of practice or work with the Ravens last year after getting healthy. I could see him having some sort of shot to be able to contribute if they needed a guy.

The one thing I think is worth mentioning is if Rhodes can't go for this week or even a couple weeks (just get him right even if it take a bit) it leaves guys that are outside CBs sorta down to Terrance Williams and Waynes. Alexander would be ok out there with decent size (but is a rookie), but after him its small guys Captain plus Sherels who isn't amazing to begin with (the guy is solid backup but small), but better left in the slot or nickle if you have to play him. Bringing in a CB that may be better playing outside makes some sense. The reality is while the Vikings have a nice group of CBs but losing one guy drops that depth pretty quick. Thats why I thought the Alexander pick was terrific I thought they needed some more depth at CB. Before signing these guys they had zero CBs on the practice squad so it could be just as much about development as anything else. Wilson sounds intriguing that's for sure. Who doesn't like a 6'2" CB that played for a legit program and has some speed?

The Shooter is reporting Bradford took ALL first team snaps at QB today. He can't know firsthand because Zim didn't allow media today...someone leaked.

If this is true, I see it as very good news. All conjecture, but it sounds like Zim/Norv thought Sam learned enough last week to earn the 2nd week start (but not the 1st week) and made the decisive decision to give him the keys for the entire practice week. 4 solid days of practice with the starters will make him as ready as possible for the Packers. Let's hope it works out.

Maybe Norv knows how Bradford did against the Packers last time he faced them...10 for 10 for 121 yards and 3 TDs in the first half. It was only preseason, but it was Game 3 so starters against starters. Here are the highlights...dig the first TD

I'm still not understanding the media love for the Packers this year. I get that they are far superior to the Vikings at QB, but they were last year too...and how did that work out for them?

Finally, yesterday's WSJ sports page gave the Packers a reality check. Jacksonville averaged 5.7 yards per pass against the Pack in the opener last week, almost exactly the same number as last year when the Pack finished last defending the pass. And now they may be missing a starting CB. Teams that give up the most yards per pass don't win division championships.

Vikings 27 Packers 10

Edit: sounds like Kalil may be hurt again...didn't practice yesterday. This team simply isn't as good when Kalil is hurt...will impact my prediction if he is out or limited.

It's worthwhile to consider that Blake Bortles and his recieving Corp might actually be good. The Packers have been good for years with a subpar defense and a big part of that is they always have a bunch of injuries.

Bortles is way better then Hill or Bradford. Will be interesting if Zimmer can keep them in check on defense.

I think stuff is getting out of hand with pre-game dances and crap. Are we really trying to be the most annoying fans in the league?

Bradford is already making throws Bridgewater can't.
