The Twins announced today that Jason Kubel is once again a part of their organization. Minnesota has signed the 31-year-old to a minor league contract with an invitation to Spring Training.
Put the band back together lol

Gotta admit I like this signing. I don't know why he flopped last year, but in 2012 he hit 30 HRs and drove in 90. I golfed with Tom Kelly about ten years ago, and he told me that he had never coached anyone who hit the ball harder than Kubel...he said the ball just sounded different off his bat. And he's only 31. If he's healthy (he must not have been last year), he has a shot of helping us. This is a low risk signing.

Zero risk, moderately high reward. Love this signing as well. Always liked/loved Kubel as our DH. Hope he finds his form again and kills it in the Spring. At the least I still think he'd be a decent bench bat.
I'm down for anything to get Doumit out of the lineup.
