I'll temper my expectations a bit seeings as the Twins top prospects in recent years havent exactly panned out.
Revere
Hicks
Gibson
Diamond
among others.
Buxton and Sano certainly give me hope but It just seems like the Twins organiztion hasnt handled their phenoms properly in recent years.. I cant put my finger on what it is exactly but the proofs in the pudding.

None of the guys you listed were phenoms or even top rated prospects in the Twins farm. Hicks was supposed to be a good player out of the group, and he has been a superstar in the field. His bat should come around.

Gotta agree with both of you, porkchop and Camden. Pork, I'm also holding my breath about these prospects and hoping for the best, but I'm not going to take anything for granted. Kansas City is a great example. For years, scouts have touted the future superstars in their farm system, but while a few have become major league starters, I would argue that none have reached the greatness predicted for them.
But I would agree with cam that the four players you listed are either turning out to be just what was expected of them (or maybe even a little better), or are still too young to conclude. Scott Diamond, despite his shakiness this year, was never projected to be as good as he was in 2012. He's pitching very well currently at Rochester and hopefully will be able to succeed in the bigs again. Revere is performing exactly as the scouts projected he would...a great defensive outfielder with great speed who would hit close to .300 with no power. And it's still too early to conclude on Gibson and Hicks. although neither was talked about in the same way Buxton and Sano are. Gibson's progress was obviously slowed by his TJ surgery, but scouts still like the way his ball moves and look at him as a solid starter down the line. Hicks is the only one of the four who might be considered a disappointment, although I say "might" because he is still young. Despite his hitting woes, he has shown Gold Glove-like skills in center field. He has struggled mightily in the bigs with pitch identification, but if he can improve in this area, his speed and power don't rule out the possibility of future 30-30 seasons.

Frankie before blowing out his elbow
Cuddyer, Guzman, Milton before arm troubles, Hunter, Span and to a certain degree Garza all top twins prospects to have pretty good careers.

Good additions, jester. A lot of people forget that Kirby Puckett was the third overall pick in the 1982 draft. He had a pretty good career.

Im just refering to the last 5-6 . Seems like pointing out players from 10-15 yrs ago is pointless becuz I would imagine the organiztion has overhauled its scouting department since then.
