I would have bet on the Wolves today, but not with Jaden out.

I'd like to see Minnesota establish a size advantage inside early and often in this one. Golden State is one of those smaller teams that shouldn't be able to skate by against our frontcourt.

I will say we get better output from ANT in marquis games, and GS is a marquis game so...I'm hopeful.

Was it 166-276 (.376) and 145-198 (.423) with Karl-Anthony Towns? They should have just waited for that lucky seventh season. Surely, he would have ascended for us and the wins would have followed!
What's Jonathan Kuminga up to these days? Surely, he's on his way to stardom despite his uncertain inclusion within Golden State's rotation and picking up healthy DNP-CD's along the way, right? Too early to tell either way!
In all seriousness, that trade has been discussed more than plenty here, there, and everywhere. Minnesota was always going to lose any Wiggins trade in a vacuum given the circumstances. Their high-ceiling wing either couldn't or wouldn't play to his optimal level in a Wolves uniform and was already locked into his max contract with multiple years left on the books requiring draft capital be attached to him in order to find a taker. And that's without receiving anything of value back. That's the situation they were in.
If we zoom out, both teams got what they wanted from that trade. Both teams actually got better from that trade. It's as close to a win-win deal as it gets once you include the context. We can rehash this every time we play Golden State, or we can understand that the past is the past and the player Wiggins is today isn't the player who was traded several years ago -- not even close.
I expect this afternoon's game to be a tough one to win, but it's not a scheduled loss either. The Warriors have been a different [worse] team on the road and their depth has remained a thorn in their side. If the Timberwolves can revert back to the team they were during the five-game winning streak -- especially the one who mopped the floor with the Pacers -- and avoid getting murdered in the third quarter, then I like their chances.
I'm not going to argue this with you. I'm not going to be passive aggressive, nor am I going to say anything insulting. But this needs to end. I know you didn't start this today, but you have had hundreds of opportunities to end it over the past couple years. The board is less because of it. On this one issue, I want to ask you to take an "L" and admit you were wrong. I would have so much more respect for you as a poster. I don't see you doing it, because I can't remember you ever backing off a position. But if you can't take the "L", at least have this be the last DLO-Wiggins topic you post on. Let's all move forward as you suggest above.
