Through 4 games Cook is averaging 22PPG/10RPG/5APG on 64% shooting. All of his shots are inside of 8 feet from what I can tell, as he just powers through people and gets a lot of layups and dunks. He just seems to be stronger and more athletic than a lot of the other bigs in the G-League.

His game seems like a G-League version of Montrezl Harrell. No clue if that translates to the NBA or even if it did, is that kind of old-school power game even a fit with Rosas' vaunted "system"?

I think the assists make him a system fit. I'd be happy if Cook turned into a Dwight Powell type (hopefully we don't overpay though).

If you are interested at all you can find the condensed games on YouTube. That's all I've watched so far. They are around 15 mins. Honestly I don't think this is a particularly exciting group to follow but you never know who might emerge. McLaughlin is an example of that. The thing is there are only a few games to go off of but it would be nice to find another decent bench player from the G-league group. Kelan Martin is still with the Pacers.

He was the only guy worthwhile on that team (which is outdoing the big league team in terms of how pathetic they are - winless so far in the bubble). But he is an old school PF that plays more of a power game using his strength and athleticism in the paint to overwhelm opponents. I think he'd have a harder time doing that in the big league and just don't see a spot for him with McDaniels, Vando, and Juancho in the mix.

Good for Cook he will make a nice amount of money with 10 day contract or 2 as the Nets go through their cap saving end of the roster moves. I wouldn't be surprised if in a month Cook is back with the Iowa Wolves. Noah Vonleh who the Nets let go is still only 25 which is about 2 years older than Cook. I'd say they are probably similar impact type guys. I'd probably pick Vonleh over Cook and I suspect that may be what happens with the Nets at some point...or they sign some other vet big that is still available.

Sources: The NBA and NBPA are planning to eliminate the 50-game limit for two-way contract players this season and to allow two-way players to be eligible for the playoffs, pending Board approval.
