I think it will be Wiggins. And I think it will be on his next contract, which will pay him more like the 6th man scoring wing he could be. In that capacity, he could be a real weapon for a contending team.

I think Wiggins is going to do pretty well (at least for while) wherever his new NBA home will be.

It's been pretty obvious for awhile now that a change of scenery will be best for all parties involved.

We just have to mentally prepare for seeing Wiggins play better elsewhere. It's going to happen. There's just so much baggage (or malaise or frustration or losing or inconsistency or whatever) over the past six years here.

You build around Towns. I don't dump Wiggins for nothing to do that though. It's clear Rosas was not trying to win this year. We're going to have a great asset with our post-tank draft pick. That would at least get us in the conversation for trades on other disgruntled stars. A top 5 unprotected pick and a future first has to get us in the conversation for Beal if he's available.

Possibly. Im just worried that this draft is considered really weak. Culver would be in consideration for the #1 pick in this draft (not saying he would go #1)

It doesn't matter how weak in reality the draft is. People will start to salivate over a few guys. It's how it works every year. The hope of change takes over. Someone will have a great tournament or Euro playoffs and everyone will anoint them the next Luka or Zion.

Not sure about that. Guys who are protected to go high right now.

Wiseman: dropped out
Hampton: hurt overseas
Ball: hurt overseas
Anthony: hurt/ team not making tourney
Edwards: could make a run.

This draft is projected really weak. Don't think much value is going to come from trading a pick this year

1. The draft is considered weak. But that doesn't mean there won't be awesome players in it. See 2013... with Giannis, Gobert, et al.

2. Not only is there few consensus top picks or locks... those players (as outlined above) have very limited resumes after high school for various reasons.

3. That makes it even more of a crapshoot than usual... and winning the lottery is probably less important than in most seasons. If the Wolves do well in the lottery and move up for the first time ever... maybe they can trade down for assets (which is what they most certainly should have done in the 2011 draft instead of picking a player who played basically the same position as the team's best player.)

Ha. I found this amusing... and telling.

Towns finished 9th in fan voting among Frontcourt players for the ASG... barely edging out Dwight Howard. 25 other players got more votes than him, including Tacko Fall, Carmelo Anthony and Alex Caruso. Derrick Rose got about 2x as many votes.

I don't know what that really means other than the people who vote for ASG starters are apparently very different than I am. But for a guy who has expressed interest in his brand off the court... it's not great.

I'd rather have Tacko in the ASG than Towns. And why did we let Rose go? Couldnt we have signed him as a trade asset?

Agree with every point. Ya I'm not saying there won't be good players in this draft. Just feel like winning the lotto this year means less. Not as much value. Dosen't mean they can't get tricky with it

Objectively I'm ready for both of them to go, but I'm almost 100% certain if Towns gets moved we're gonna get DeAndre Ayton back aka Baha Al Jefferson and we'll be 8 years away from another playoff appearance.

Gersson Rosas has no idea what's about to happen to him within the next couple of years.
