It depends on how good you think Garland or Culver will become in a couple years when KAT's in the 3rd year of his contract. If you think, as I do, that Garland is going to be a Damion Lillard caliber PG, then a KAT/Garland core tandem could be a playoff team and contender. Same if you think Culver will become a Brandon Roy caliber wing. Lillard and Roy each had 4 years of college. We forget sometimes that a lot of these guys like Garland and Culver are very young and inexperienced as rookies.

If the Wolves stink again next year KAT is gone. That doesnt give Garland or Culver very much time to vastly improve.
