I wouldn't mind seeing what McDaniels could do on Luka, but maybe he's not ready.
They're not sending him to the G-League....
I like the idea of McDaniels starting for Okogie in theory, but you just know the officials will call every damn little ticky tack foul if a rookie starts the game guarding Doncic. I kinda get why they are going with Okogie for tonight at least.
Naz Reid is averaging 14.9 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 1.5 APG, and 1.6 BPG with a .626 TS% in 26.7 MPG as a starter through 12 games thus far. You could easily make a case that he's not only a starter-level player, but a good one at that.
Love that decision from A1 to pass out of the paint to an open D-Lo instead of shooting a tough, contested runner. Decision-making is a weakness of his, but not on that possession. Russell buries the three and Edwards gets the assist. Good basketball.

He's looked a lot better than some of our recent, and not so recent highly drafted players!

He's also easily swatted away a couple of Naz Reid forays to the hoop that were going in against shorter opponents over the last week or so. I wonder what Maverick records he'll break tonight.
