- Enters the league as a relatively mature college prospect at age 22 and has an absolutely awful rookie season. And I'm not talking about garbage time/small sample size type minutes, but legit minutes off the bench where a lot of more mature and skilled former 2nd rounders can do OK. He was terrible.
- Fast forward three years....Age 25....two Finals appearances.....He's probably the best role player in the NBA......DPOY type player, elite passer, hits 3's at a good enough rate to keep defenses honest.
- Since his age 25 season, he's been on a gradual decline ever since, almost at a linear rate.
- Current season...age 30, 6 PPG, .426 TS%, - 2.9 BPM, .024 WS/48, -4.5 net rating.
I'm not sure I've ever seen someone go from so bad to so good and back to so bad again over such a short timeframe.
You basically just set him up for a 20 pt triple double on us.
Heh. No, that will be Wiggins. It's going to burn seeing Wiggins hang a huge game on us while the guy we traded him for sits out for another day of rest and relaxation.

Love your opening line. And it is a weird career path for sure. I know he has missed a lot of time the last few years. I wonder if he is one of those guys whose body just couldn't sustain the grind.

IDK...the funny thing is his numbers started dropping pretty steadily after his age 25 season, before the wear and tear would have much of an impact. He was just so damn good that it wasn't that noticeable the first couple of years, but they just haven't stopped dropping and now he's almost a liability on the floor. Not saying he won't be in All-Star form for tonight!

Same reason DLO was benched.
It is hard to know what is going on in that situation. It could be he was benched because of poor defense or poor offense. The Wolves don't do any of our players any favors. I mean even this year they said Okogie was out with cramps then it was something more serious. Kat was questionable for game 3 against the lakers then he was week to week and then Kat says he was supposed to be out 6-8 weeks. Layman and Kat were day to day most of last year and they were missing months.
Taking Dlo out of it all the Wolves handle there injury designations really weirdly.

Just a way to mess with opponents. As long as they can get away with it, might as well. We don't like not what is going on though, same as the opponents.

Remember last year when everyone thought layman had died cause no one ever saw him cause of his hurt foot.
