Wolves v Warriors GDT

Post by kekgeek »

Didn't know what thread to put this in so made a GDT.

Dlo questionable tomorrow with a right quad contusion that happened in the Hawks.

Why do the wolves fuck our players so much with stupid shit like saying he was out for scheduled rest. They fucked Kat with his wrist last year. Said his injury this year was week to week and when his original diagnosis was 6-8 weeks. They did the same to Layman last year

Just a hunch but IF he really does have a quad contusion I'm guessing he could have played through it. It's not something that can get worse by playing on it. The NHL called wondering WTF.

The DLO thing seems odd to me. If it was a thigh contusion from the Hawks game, there was no reason not to say so before last night's game. Seems like there's something else going on. Ricky was complaining publicly about players playing "hero ball" after the Hawks game. Jim Peterson was talking last night about Russell over dribbling and how the ball was moving much better with DLO not playing. There was the ridiculous "rest" explanation for DLO's absence from last night's game. Now we hear that DLO has a thigh contusion from the Hawks game.

Maybe it's nothing - just a thigh contusion that the Wolves inexplicably didn't want to acknowledge until today. Or maybe Ryan is unhappy with DLO and is attempting to hold him accountable by not playing him but spare him the embarrassment of publicly acknowledging the actual reason. Or maybe DLO is pissed and said he wants to be traded. For now, I'll assume it's just a thigh contusion that should be been disclosed at the outset. But stay tuned for more.

I believe the Wolves are undefeated (3-0)* when Ricky starts. I hope Ricky starts and keeps it rolling.

*Ricky started one preseason game and that's the only preseason game the Wolves won.

Somehow we have to find a way to stop this new wing found off the scrapheap Andrew Wiggins...he's dominating at both ends of the court. He's averaging more blocks per game than Wiseman, and he has the highest 3-point percentage on the team among players with more than 3 attempts per game.

I hope Wiggins isn't as motivated playing the Wolves as he was vs. Cleveland early in his career...

The curious case of Draymond Green.....

- Enters the league as a relatively mature college prospect at age 22 and has an absolutely awful rookie season. And I'm not talking about garbage time/small sample size type minutes, but legit minutes off the bench where a lot of more mature and skilled former 2nd rounders can do OK. He was terrible.

- Fast forward three years....Age 25....two Finals appearances.....He's probably the best role player in the NBA......DPOY type player, elite passer, hits 3's at a good enough rate to keep defenses honest.

- Since his age 25 season, he's been on a gradual decline ever since, almost at a linear rate.

- Current season...age 30, 6 PPG, .426 TS%, - 2.9 BPM, .024 WS/48, -4.5 net rating.

I'm not sure I've ever seen someone go from so bad to so good and back to so bad again over such a short timeframe.
