Bazzys probably been reading T-Wolves forums where people think he's as good as Wiggins and should be starting over him.

Bazz was just next level bad when he played for us this year. We brought him back because he's still young and if he worked on the right things could have been part of the rotation. He quickly played himself out of the rotation to a level that's just not comparable to other guys on the team. The guy just hunts shots, consistently makes selfish and poor decisions on the break and never learned how to hit 3's consistently. He's the complete opposite of a team player and on this team that didn't fit. He just lacks NBA skills for a wing. He can't dribble, doesn't pass and can't shoot. That's a lethal combination of bad. There wasn't much out there by the time we brought him back so it was a risk on someone with potential, but who already knew the system. I can't fault Thibs for bringing him back, giving him a chance, benching him accordingly and then Bazz requesting out. Just didn't work out.

Shabazz Muhammad has been one of the more unlikable Wolves players I can remember.

Might be a nice guy off the court... I dunno. But he's one of the most selfish players I've ever seen while on it.

Selfish, unproductive on both ends of the floor, and limited talent level isn't a good thing.

Bazz has a unique skillset... just not one made for today's game. He's an undersized post player. He'd probably have been a more productive player in a different era.

Meh. I don't know. He's a train wreck when he's out there. I think every era of basketball would sniff out that wild running push shot he has and his tunnel vision in transition. Way too small to really bang in the paint with the bigs and not at all skilled enough to hang with wings. China has a place for him perhaps.

Bazz has gotten lighter the past couple years which makes sense because having him be able to be more of a wing player is more valuable. I wonder if it hurt the one thing he was actually good at which is that post game. Regardless he just wasn't as good at scoring near the rim this year which is pretty tough when that's the value he brings.

I thought earlier in the year he was at least trying to pass play more within a team game. Now when he comes in it's old Bazz just absolutely hunting shots. When Butler was out that probably wasn't such a bad thing and he helped in one of those games.

They wanted the guy back he came back there was that awesome hype that happens about nearly every player before the season how they look good and all that. He sucked. It didn't work out. Maybe he put too much pressure on himself. He just doesn't have a diverse skill set. Can barely dribble AND just never was able to hit outside shots consistently and his defense ain't gonna keep him on the floor although it might not be horrific as it once was. Thibs didn't play him a lot early on but he did stick with him in the rotation when Bazz probably didn't deserve it. Sometimes things don't work out. Last year LeBron talked up adding Derrick Williams...and they didn't resign him and is out of the league. Maybe another team takes a flyer on Bazz and maybe a change of scenery helps. It's not looking good for his career but in China the guy could probably make money and put up numbers. His game won't work in Europe. Which guy would you rather have on a team right now Bazz or Derrick Williams? Neither? Yep. Sometimes these young supposed talented guys aren't good or don't work out for a team. Fortunately in the case of Bazz coming back to the Wolves the cost isn't too great.

I would have much rather had Brandon Rush back instead.

The thing about Bazz though is that in spite of his many weaknesses he'll always give you 110%, which itself can be a weakness. I can't help but cheer for a guy who gives it his all, even if I may prefer to cheer for him playing for another team!

100% agree regarding his effort in part because he looked like a 7th grader  getting his 1st minutes of basketball  when he would Sprint in transition. Bazz  Has a skill set that belongs in the NBA, but I don't think he fits in with Tom thibadeau's system.

His fundamentals with isolation and team defense had improved, but advanced analytics worked against him.

That's too bad, hes one of my favorite players.

My advice to Bazz, learn to take your box move right efficiently...your offensive efficiency will improve when you learn to react the hips and feet of your defender facing up and back to the basket . . . Happy to work with you on that!!
