I don't blame him. Not that he was amazing when he played this season, but it's really messed up when he seemed to be the only guy on the roster who seemed to be penalized for not playing defense.

Who he gets replaced with after he gets waived: does it matter? Thibs won't use his bench. I've given up on this team having the bench as a strength. It's just never gonna happen. I'd hate to be Anthony Brown knowing this two-way contract stuff is a waste of time. I'd hate to be the guy we draft knowing damn well he'll almost never be given an opportunity to show his talents. At the end of the day we're not gonna miss Bazz but knowing we didn't do right by him doesn't bode well for the next guy, whoever that is.

Jefferson, Aldrich, Patton (though I get it with him), Brooks, and whoever replaces Bazz has to be the most useless third of an NBA roster in the league.

How did we not do right by Bazz? He was in the regular rotation last year and the beginning of this year. But he can't shoot from outside and doesn't pass, consistently driving into traffic and throwing up contested shots or charging into waiting defenders. He absolutely played his way out of the rotation and we have been a better team ever since he got benched!

The second Bazz has entered a game this year, he's been a massive liability:

Offensive Rating 101.2
Defensive Rating 121.1
Net Rating -19.9

Believe it or not, he actually has the worst offensive AND defensive rating on the team. Good riddance!

P.S. It is sort of sad though that this is yet another draft pick we effed up on and could never develop a reliable 3-point shot. God we've been terrible drafters!

I'd guess some players would look at guys like MGH and think "He got an opportunity." Supposedly Aaron Brooks was gonna come here and play...nope Tyus Jones has been the backup all season and has played well. It's something people tend to forget with Thibs is 2 years in a row now he has played young guys when he supposedly was only gonna play vets.

Bazz being so bad really did hurt the bench this season. There were other vet players that were likely to help more but they put a high priority on Bazz. Unfortunately it didn't work out and was another time they tried to build the team via young talent.

I do wish Thibs punished some guys a bit more for playing terrible D, but it's not just Bazz's bad defense.

Bazz has such a predictable style offensive play it kills the offense when he's out there. Every single time he touches the ball he's going right down to that baseline and try to get off his little floater. Even if it means driving right into traffic while other guys are wide open.

He's always had this one-track mind, but it actually seems to have gotten worse when he's played this year. It's so predictable that other teams are actually double-teaming him because they know there's no chance he'll ever pass it. It's a good shot when he's open, but the defense knows it's coming every time so they stop it or he draws a charge. It's sad actually that he doesn't seem to be able to do anything else.

No team in the NBA is going to want him alone. He can be included in a bigger deal as a trash throw in, but that's about it.

Have fun in China in the near future, Bazz.

So why did this team bring him back? Why was there all this fanfare this preseason about how good he looked? If Thibs didn't like him then, how about having some sort of imagination and look to sign players that actually fit the vision of what you want that are young? If we're gonna be honest with ourselves he was never in the rotation to begin with. We ran a full court press to bring him back to do nothing?

Why was Bazz the only guy on this roster held accountable for what he didn't do? When Wiggins played like trash did his minutes go down? No. When Towns was giving out fun passes to opposing players at the basket, was he held accountable? Teague has blown games for this team. Nothing has changed. I say that to say this: there's no way to get ahead on this team even if you do what's asked of you. Tyus Jones is a prime example of that, so if you're giving Bazz a deal knowing what you know about him, expecting a completely differently player was foolish on management's part.

It just doesn't benefit guys to come here and be a part of this bench. Nevermind Bazz at this point. The fact that this team still has the bench troubles they do is going to forever limit this team, and that's because this team is still pathetic at player development!

Everyone has bad games, Wiggins had quite a bit more, BUT Bazz was bad all the time. So that's the biggest difference.

I suspect that he's not doing things right in practice either. Just a guess.
