I predict wiggy draws a charge tonight and dives for a loose ball.

I know. I know. It will never happen in the same game. They can't make this spread high enough. Wish I was a gambling man.

You just got me thinking about something... I don't think I've ever seen Wiggins do either of those two things -- take a charge or get on the floor for a loose ball. Has anyone else seen one of these things happen?

Cam, I've seen him go after a couple of loose balls, but it's few and far between.

If you dig a little, you can look up charges drawn. Andrew has drawn one charge in his entire career thus far.

Rubio, as a comparison, has drawn 12 in the past 1.25 seasons (last season and this season thus far).

By the way, I don't think KAT or LaVine are much better in this area, so I don't even want to single out Wiggins. Our big three like the sexy plays, but don't do the little things that help a team win.

Yeah, Cam makes a good (although depressing) point...hustle plays by Wig are certainly a rarity. And 1 charge taken in his entire career is nothing short of astonishing! I hate to acknowledge his lack of hustle and grit because I find him to be such a likable kid, but he just doesn't seem to have the hustle gene.

Just to provide a little balance, though, he is far and away the best shooter of the Big 3 this year in the 4th quarter. The 4th quarter is the worst shooting quarter for both KAT and Zach at 40.2 and 40.6 %, respectively, and 24 and 27% on threes...these two are not proving themselves to be reliable shooters this season in the 4th. Wig on the other hand has saved his best shooting for the 4th quarter...52.6% and 52% on threes. But unfortunately he takes fewer shots and threes than both KAT and Zach in the 4th. I don't know what to attribute this to...coaching, or Kevin Martin disease (hiding in the 4th) on the part of Wig. Whatever the answer is, the coaches need to get the offense to go to Wig more in the 4th...especially beyond the arc. It's ridiculous to keep giving more 3-point attempts to 2 guys who are making about half of Wig's percentage.

One charge his whole career? You've gotta be kidding me.

On another note....Memphis is the anti-Wolves. They are banged up and undermanned, have very few lottery picks on their roster, have multiple rookies in their rotation, yet here they are in the playoff mix for the Western Conference. Oh, and they have a brand new coach. These guys haven't skipped a beat despite all the adversity and change.

Oh my god I just watched Memphis last night and thought if we had 20% of the heart that team plays with we'd be well above .500. That team is so much fun to watch. They play every play like it's their last. Seriously, just laying it all out there, balls out, working hard at all times on every play no matter how far away they are from the ball. Plus they clearly love playing with each other. No complaining about calls, they just fucking grind. So much fun to watch. Why can't we be like them?

On a related note, Memphis has a very good fanbase too. No offense to any of you guys (I'm sure those of you who go to the games get into it), but why do our home fans suck so much? That place is dead quiet. The most energy I've seen them show was booing our own guys the other night. Sad!

Two reasons....

1. We've sucked for a decade plus. The "average" fan goes to see the other team.

2. Memphis has fewer things to do and fewer major sports franchises, so the Grizzlies are a pretty big deal there, similar to the Thunder in OKC. The Twin Cities is a well educated metropolitan area with a ton of other options for people to spend their entertainment $ on.

This is how I'd like Towns to play tonight against the Warriors. Play big boy ball in the paint. Also, I just like Greg Monroe's game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEelVX1DV7c

I see nothing but an ass kicking in this game. The Dubs lost last night and they will by hyper focused today.

Also, even if we play a competitive game it really means nothing if we lose. It's far too late and we have dug way too big of a hole for moral victories. A lot of negativity in this post but that's what this season has done to me.

Wiggins is not a natural passer. Everything feels forced.
