I get where you are going Cam, but Robinson is absolutely putrid in every other facet of the game. Good rebounder, but horrible defender, shooter, etc overall. Also, we already have a glut of PF on this team.....I just don't see the point as he would never see the floor (and maybe that is your angle). If we are going to get a 1-trick pony, it needs to be a big interior defender IMO.

I was big on him coming out of college but at this point unless something has changed the guy is bench fodder Abe is right there is no point is trading Bazz for him. Might as well let Bazz go for nothing.

We may as well keep Bazz and hope he gets rolling. He has had some tough luck doing the things he is typically good at. A few weeks from now he will probably have had a few goood games and will seem more worthwhile either to this team or another one. There isn't much point in selling low to get nothing. I don't think the Wolves are going to get a whole lot for him but you never know if a team has injuries etc.

I don't think Shabazz's trade value has fluctuated much, if any, over the past couple years. It's probably not going to in the near future either unless he gets injured. The league knows about him. He kind of is what he is at this point -- inconsistent bench scorer who provides little else.

I agree except now with him being a RFA next summer I would imagine his trade value is lower than say it was last year just because of his contract situation and having to make a decision one way or another pretty quickly and...he is gonna get paid a decent chunk of money by somebody. He just turned 24 can score and plays hard. Some team will find that valueable enough they will pay a chunk of money. How much? Idk but I feel pretty certain the Wolves won't be forking over money for him compared to what offers he will get out there. It's too bad the Nets likely don't have anything to offer they are desperate for young talent.

I agree about his contract being a factor. I'm also gonna go out on a limb and say at BEST he gets $7M per year, or basically a Cole Aldrich contract. I wouldn't even pay that for him.

If that's all he is gonna get (you might be right) the Wolves should keep him as that's gonna be mid-level money soon or less. I think he will and to some extent should go to a team where he has some shot at a bigger role. I'll compare him to derrick Williams who signed a prove it 1 year contract with Miami for just under 5 million last summer. It's pretty easy to argue Bazz is a better more efficient scorer. Williams is probably a better defender but...he mostly sucks at scoring efficiently when you look at his career resume. I'm not arguing that Bazz will turn into a star or a starter but I do think he has been productive enough that he should pursue a better opportunity of that makes sense. I wonder if he has been putting too much pressure on himself to perform not just for his next contract but to impress the new coaching staff and the pressure of being a part of the hyped Wolves. I still say he will get back on track this season.

It's probably not going to be popular, but what about Bazz for Robert Covington or Hollis Thompson. Covington is having a down year, but I always thought he was a poor man's Kris Middleton and Hollis Thompson is a consistent 39% 3pt shooter. Both I think would complement our roster better than Bazz. Philly could use another scorer with Embiid and they have the money to re-sign Bazz if they want to.

This trade certainly will not be popular in Philly.

Why? They have no scoring outside of Embiid and that's Bazz's specialty. Embiid is the only guy over 13 PPG on their team. Bazz would fill a huge hole for them.
