Ultimately I think this is a temporary move with either Bazz or Lavine starting next to Wiggins but most likely Lavine. My guess this newest lineup will feature a bit more Miller as PG since there will be times when Prince/Bazz will not matchup will against a bench shooting guard defensively. This may ease Miller/Tyus into the backup PG role and see what works there.

How many temporary moves are we going to have to go through before he just gets it right? Sam's wasting development time trying these temporary moves. Continuity is important in this league. How can we ever start building it if the rotations change every month? He changed them after the pre-season. He changed them after a month of the regular season. Why should we be ok and content to be here saying he'll eventually correct himself and get the right rotation down? If you're gonna trial by error in this league you do it with your young guys, not to get 30 year old vets like Martin going.

I hated the idea of Mitchell being the head coach. Now he's simply driving me insane with his stupidity,

While I don't really understand this move (I don't know why you break up a starting unit that has been performing), we may be missing the real reason for this move...it may be Glen/Milt mandated. They very likely want to move Martin sometime this season, and the return was going to be paltry if he continued to play the way he has been. This may be more about trying to maximize Martin's trade value.

Now you're really reaching LST.

I just listened to Sam's post game comments from the last game and he was going on and on about lack of scoring so I think this is purely Sam's decision not something from above to up Martin's value.

Kek, what's the headline joke?

Yep, this is a bad move. Zach is going to be asking for a trade soon if Sam doesn't manage this better.

I wish Sam would just go back to his original plan and start lavine. But sam has made up his mind and we know he can be stubborn. I just hope he gives martin a specific role with the starters and that is to

1. Spread the floor.
2. Make off ball cuts to the basket.
3. Defend.

I dont want to see martin hunting for shots. Asking rubio for the ball 5 ft away from the 3pt line and go shot/foul hunting and putting up those 1 handed runners.

I thinks Prince will start piling up dnp-cd from here on. Andre or tyus has a shot at regular rotation minutes for now. If it where up to me, I will go with andre for now but will eventually give tyus an opportunity.

This is almost definitely what Martin wanted. Why wouldn't he want to start...

I think he plays well (better) in this role because he won't be playing as a bitter veteran hunting for shots. It's more of a "you got what you wanted... now what are you going to do with it?"

And getting set up more with the starting lineup instead of battling Payne, Muhammad, LaVine on the second unit... can only help.

It's all fool's gold. Everybody in the L knows Martin's limitations by this point. But maybe he gets going a bit so when he's traded (AND HE IS GETTING TRADED), the Wolves might get slightly more for him.

I'd prefer to see LaVine start. But I'm not completely against this move... mostly indifferent. Because as noted... it's temporary.
