Kmart to start for prince on Monday
Re: well I am am Sam Mitchell
Sam I think this move makes a lot of sense. Way to be flexible.
Hey one other thing. Give the media a bit of a break they are just doing their jobs. You can rip Zgoda if you want though. Lol

Kekgeek is the man...nice call!
Interesting strategy by Sam. Since the starters with Tay have been consistently outscoring the opposition, it seems like a strange move. But I wonder if he has a different motive. KMart has been horrible the past 6-7 games and a major reason for our being under .500. Sam knows we need KMart's shooting to compete, and maybe he sees this as a way to get him going. Let's see if it works.
I wonder what it means for Tay. While I like him in the starting lineup, I don't think he brings enough in a reserve role. That's how Joerger saw him at Memphis too...generally he either started or was a DNP-CD. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play against Philly.

Prince can play as a vet with the bench the way he was as a starter and it brings some balence to each group like a number of people have suggested.

Or LST could be right...
@APkrawczynski: Prince will now go back to role initially envisioned for him: maybe 10 minutes a game in spot defensive situations

In what universe should Kmart be starting on this team? Just an awful, stupid decision by Mitchell. Now Martin can hunt shots (and miss) while taking opportunities away from KAT and Wig.
Re: well I am am Sam Mitchell
I see already some people on Twitter are asking why not put Lavine in as a starter instead of Martin? Here are some thoughts on that.
Lavine has been playing well in his current role. Sam might want to keep him in that role. Adding The option of playing Prince with that unit would help Lavine a bit as he is a guy that doesn't need to be fed but makes the right plays.
This also could open up Lavine playing SG off the bench with Miller playing PG.
Martin is a scorer and a vet that fits with Rubio and KG. I'll admit I don't know if he fits with Wiggins but he might find some 3 point attempts playing off Wiggins either posting up or driving. I said recently in another thread Martin playing against some SFs defensively might actually work out ok. Martin has put in therefore defensively and probably has some value to a certain extent in that he will execute what he is supposed to do within a team defensive concept more than one of the other young players and that may make him a guy easier to hid his weakness on that end. Wings having to guard both Wiggins and Martin...could be tough.
It paves the way for Lavine to start at SG down the road. I think we have seen Sam isn't just gonna roll with one lineup just because. Some people would like this move to happen sooner rather than later but I can see why Sam is doing what he is doing. It's not all been perfect but I like overall what Sam has done so far. I still think 5-8 with Rubio missing those games is pretty good hopefully we stay healthy and get rolling a bit for a few games before the next possible change needs to take place

If anything, Martin should be getting less time. There is NO justification for this move. It's stupid and hurts us on the court. It also sends a bad message to the team. I'll start you if you play terribly. And again Sam goes back on something he said earlier. He talked about wanting Wig to play the 2 for multiple reasons. So now what, was that all bullshit? I'm almost hoping things go really south so we can get this ass-clown out of here. He's just a fucking idiot.

Lavine plays well next to Ricky. If this move has Lavine playing more 2, but next to Andre, fuck it. Lavine has been a way better 2 than Martin this year and earned this spot. So either keep Zach at PG or go fuck yourself Sam if you are gonna play him at the 2 next to Andre instead of the spot he earned over Martin. The only way I am ok with this move is if it causes Zach to be Wiggins' and Bazz's PG for big stretches of the game. Otherwise I don't want Zach as the 2 in between Miller and Bazz. He earned the spot between Ricky and Wiggins.
