That's the healthiest attitude. I absolutely hated the Flynn pick, and while I didn't love the Wes pick, dreaded the idea of having to cheer for a guy like DMC. But those moments are in the past and we seem to have something good happening here. So I've moved on too.

Lip probably is the person to answer this but I think the guys Flip was interested in that got picked before the pick they traded and #14 were Zeller KCP and then after the trade Olynyk.

KCP was the guy Flip was set to take, but when Detroit nabbed him, Flip made the deal with Utah. Flip's main reason for doing the deal was to make sure he got Dieng. But he really liked Bazz at the time. Flip's main decision was between taking McCollum or doing the deal to ensure the availability of Dieng and taking Bazz. Flip opted for the latter based on medical concerns with McCollum's foot. If the foot concerns didn't exist, Flip would have taken CJ and would not have done the deal. As all of you know, I would have taken CJ and taken either Dieng or Gobert with our second 1st round pick, but I wasn't aware of the foot issue at the time.

Thanks for sharing this great info Lip. Have you sent any crazy-eyed emails that has Milt contacting you yet? Lol

I was in the KCP camp too, but he has been steady but nothing spectacular with Pistons.

Lol. Not yet, Monster. But given my current level of frustration, I'm about due for one of those. :)
