You hate kg too much man. He is going to be the new owner. You're going to have to get used to him being around the team.
I don't have to get used to anything. He is bad news, feel bad for those that can't see it.
You don't have to do anything. I am just looking out for your wellbeing.

As much of a KG fan as I am, I'd hope there would be more involved than that.

Jesus.
I have maintained the same point cam, don't be so sensitive. Thad is a decent player, just not for our roster. At this point in the teams development he is nothing beyond a placeholder.
I'm not being sensitive, though. I just get tired of reading the same stuff. Acting like that Miami pick would produce a better player than Young is silly to me.
Can we all please remember that the guy's 26-years old? Barring a nasty contract dispute next summer, why can't he be a part of the rebuild/re-tool? He's been vocal about wanting to be with the team while it grows. And while he may be a placeholder right now, he would be such a weapon off the bench at SF/PF if we had Towns or someone like that starting at PF.
My thing is: don't give away good players. It's pointless.
Good is far from the truth with looking at his whole performance so far. And he is performing way below his contract. You can get rid of decent players who don't promote wins and are paid too much. Of course he wants to be with this team, he thinks were dumb enough to give him a raise. Not worth it.

I agree he has been bad news for years now but I think it would be different in this case. He would be doing the equivalent of a victory lap for the last couple months of his final season back with his original team, one he never wanted to leave. I have a hard time thinking we'd see much of the stupidity he has displayed on teams with which he expected to win. He could very well prove me wrong but I just don't see the competitive fire being on display under the circumstances. I'm not saying I like the idea.

Know what promotes wins? Having plenty of good players, and Thad Young is a good basketball player. I've had this argument far too many times already. I'm wondering what non-All Star player you think would have thrived playing with the guys Young did for a large majority of the season WHILE dealing with the death of that player's mother. And over the past month and a half, he's been GOOD.

We all know you have been arguing, we have heard it ad nauseam. You are too sensitive, otherwise you wouldnt be compelled to chime in every time someone has a differing opinion about a player. Let others think he isn't good for this team. Its only an opinion about what a mediocre player provides to a losing team. I like D and rebounding at the 4 for this team. You like slashing and cutting and active offense, so based on our priorities, we define good differently. I have heard your arguments and disagree. If you are sick of making them then just let it go.

I sincerely hope this is just one of those dumb rumors without much basis. Doing this to sell a few extra tickets for a couple months would be so Wolves-like.

If Flip can dump Bud as well I say do it. We have two PF's in waiting in Payne and AB and while they are unproven, they won't get a better chance to prove themselves. Yes Thad cost us a first round pick, but do we really need two first rounders on the team next year? We are crazy young as it is. Flip wanted to win and the injury bug bit us. There's nothing he can do about that. If recent play tells us anything, we would have at least been competitive most of this year if we didn't get hit with the injury nuke. I'll take the top 5 pick, cap space and call the Thad for a first trade a draw because it was made with the intention to win which was taken out of Flip's hand with the injuries and it will hopefully get Bud off our roster and quite frankly it would have cost a mid-first rounder to dump Bud as is anyway. In a weird workaround way it would end up being Thad for the first = Thad has enough value to take Bud with him which would have been pretty much the same value as dealing Bud with the first to convince a team to take him off our hands.

KG is going to be a minority owner no matter what, so we don't need to trade our 2nd most valuable (and available) asset for a nostalgic homecoming game.

I'm confused...when did Rubio get thrown in this deal? Just off the top of my head...players who should hold more value than Thad...
Wiggins
Rubio
Dieng
Shabazz
Pekovic
LaVine
and arguably Martin
Anyway, I know we'd have to put a suicide watch out for Coolbreaz, but I'd love to see the trade. I think Flip plans on not re-signing Thad anyway next summer, and use the cap room elsewhere...so might as well have a little fun and maybe a little more leadership, and I'd love to see a Rubio to KG alley-oop.
