It's almost impossible for a new coach to come in and not exceed his years win total given we're coming off such a low base. If we'd won 35 games this year on the back of Pek, Bud and Martin, and then a new coach next year delivered 35 wins on the back of Wiggins, Lavine and out mid first round draft pick, would we really appreciate the progress? And by running his Long 2s offence all year almost any new offence that is introduced will apear innovative in comparison.

This isn't an accident, but a very well thought out and perfectly executed master plan. The master plan obviously ends in multiple championships over the next decade, so I look forward to the continued execution of the plan.

I don't see how our coaching gig is more attractive then the others that might be available

Then you're obviously not really seeing the master plan...

I was just carrying on with the tongue in cheek tone of the original post. By being this bad this year, it makes it easier for a new coach to come in and make progress.

Of course satire is much less effective when I have to explain the joke, so I guess I failed in that regard.

You failed in case of Alex but I for example found your take funny.

Flip is playing chess, while the rest of us are playing checkers.

I know this thread is half funny and half serious but I am gonna say that Flip the young talent evaluator has done reasonably well for himself in a short time so I am going to give him some time on Payne. Why? Bazz at this point the only think holding him back from being at worst a dynamic bench player is health. Dieng had high expectations so we are dissappointed but he is a lengthy big who can block shots rebound and score in a variety of ways. Pretty good for where he was drafted. Flip kept Hmel around for cheap and when healthy he was solid as a deep bench guy. Lorenzo Brown is showing some of why Flip liked him. That Wiggins guy is pretty good. Lavine is a project but is improving and the upside for him is pretty significant. Bennett hasn't done much so that's not good but a lot of young players flip has brought in have done well all things considered. Other aspects of Flip are either less stellar but that aspect does give me a little hope. Of course it's not hard to be better than Kahn in this regard so yeah. Lol

The great thing about the NBA is that teams never quit on coaches.

That's a lot of good things about players for a 16 win basketball team

When the hell do you ever say anything positive? I mean seriously...

He was talking about YOUNG talent. Young talent is going to lose a lot of games regardless of how skilled they are because they are still inexperienced.
