But aside from his very solid 3-point shooting (37%), he's a mediocre rebounder for his position (career 5.6 per game) and a low percentage shooter overall (43%) for a PF. And he's not a shot-blocker or a particularly good defender. He's basically a stretch 4 perimeter scorer. He'd be fine for us as a stretch 4 coming off the bench, but we have Belly for that role locked up in a favorable contract. Anderson would be a FA coming off a salary already substantially higher than Belly's.

If we're going to shop for a PF, we should find someone to help us on the boards and/or help us with our interior defense. One thing I've noticed this season is that we need more rebounding help. Towns is very good, but Wiggins is a poor rebounder at his position. A strong, physical rebounding presence at the PF position would be a nice addition to our team. Otherwise, I'm content with what we have at this point. Anderson is a good player but he doesn't bring enough of what we need to justify giving up any significant assets to get him.

I agree Lip and I will add that Belly is a lot more versatile than Anderson. Anderson is a more dynamic scorer but they are similar but also different. Belly has a lot more length as well.

btw. Belly sits at .390 from 3pt distance atm, give him some more time to adjust to NBA game, also team mates should look for him much more than they do, yesterday he was wide open multiple times with Zach and Bazz going for layup against multiple defenders

Well said, Doper!

I really like Belly. Rebounds, shoots the 3, can put the ball on the floor when necessary, makes the extra pass. His defense isn't necessarily a strong suit, but it isn't an obvious weakness either. Just a solid, solid player.

What I really like about him is he's just the type of low usage/high efficiency/low cost role player you absolutely need to surround your stars with. He'll get more respect from the officials after another lap or two around the NBA.

No thanks. I like this team right now and how it's constructed. Only guy being traded this year is Martin.

The shame is Martin should've been traded in the offseason. Can we get more than a ham sammich for him at this point?

I am more of a fan of PB&J myself.

How about a peanutbutter, bacon and banana sandwich? It was a favorite of Elvis. We should be able to get that in return for Martin. Right? Maybe even get som fries included in the deal.

I'll stick to a well made PB&J it's an underrated art form and you can screw it up some bread just doesn't work as well. Plus I'm a vegetarian so the bacon doesn't work for me. I like getting fries in the deal I like your thinking there.

According to my cat who is friends with a friend of a friend of Milt Newton's aunt's cat says Milt wants something better than a sandwich even with fries for Martin. It's a high price like that Fogo De Chao Brazian Steakhouse restaurant in downtown Minneapolis.

Also one issue that hasn't been brought up about Anderson is he can't stay healthy. He has one season of 81 games and the next highest was 65 although the he played most of the lockout shortened season but yeah not what this team needs and again I am a big fan of his. He is gonna get paid a healthy sum this offseason by someone.
