Chris Finch the new head coach

Only the Wolves would do this! Haha.

Well, we've tried everything else and we've been beaten down so long that anything resembling a team in the mix for a playoff spot at some point would be exciting for this fan base.

You missed one, Q. It's DLO, Rubio AND Juancho. Now we can add Chris Finch to the list. I think it will probably work out like the prior three. Not hiring Vanterpool on an interim basis to finish the season as a trial run is ridiculous. Was anyone knocking on the door of Chris Finch to hire him away? I really doubt it. But of course no one was knocking on the Warrior's front office door in pursuit of DLO and there weren't a number of teams chasing Ricky or bidding for the services of Juancho. Rosas really is a door knob.

I'm convinced anyone outside of the organization thinks the bar is so low to satisfy the fanbase that the smallest thing is cause for a parade. I don't think outside guys come in with a plan to make this organization great. I think they figure, "hey be exciting, make some threes, run up and down, maybe make the playoffs, and they'll love me forever, because let's face it. This team stinks." It worked for Thibs in the end.

Rosas still needs to go, but I'm not going to crucify him for hiring Finch just yet. Clearly, this was who he wanted back in 2019. This was his guy from the start. Finch would have been hired over both Saunders and Vanterpool if not for Taylor's meddling and interference. I'm willing to give Finch an opportunity before ruling him a failed or bad hire. He's been a part of some pretty intriguing teams -- specifically the Rockets, Nuggets, and Pelicans. He wouldn't have been MY top choice, but if he features Karl-Anthony Towns offensively and continues to aid his defensive improvements while grooming this team's young talent into wins or at least a competent basketball team every night, then it'll be a massive upgrade to the ugliness Saunders provided over the last 137 games.

Also, can we edit the title of this thread? I keep seeing Chris Hinch instead of Chris Finch and it's making me think of A.J. Hinch, the former manager of the cheating Houston Astros.

Does this mean big minutes for Juancho? Asking for a friend.

You can, my friend. You just edit the original or first comment in the thread like you would any other time and the title bar is shown. You must do it! Ha
