It's not a slam dunk that Thibs is the right guy for this job. Been saying that for a couple years. The proof will be in the pudding.

Yup, you and LST are co-chairs for the "Skeptical on Thibs but hope for the best" club...

I always get a kick out of how some successful coaches are termed not developmental coaches (like this article saying this about Thibs) despite them playing young players and young guys having plenty of success under them. I get where the narrative comes from but basically saying he doesn't develop players seems like a stretch.

Yeah, I think that's a fair way to describe my position, and probably Cool's too. I can't remember who Cool was advocating for, but I wanted a younger, more out-of-the-box choice...a young up-and-comer like Kevin Ollie who could grow with this young roster. That said, if Thibs can guide this team to 50+ wins this season, I'll label his hiring a success.

Yeeeuup, something stinks with KG and I hope it becomes a non-issue soon whether he plays or not.

Jon K

This has been in the works. A lot of complicating factors will lead to KG's exit

Edit:

Also from Jon

Was hope in Wolves org that KG would retire and leave on good terms. @ESPNSteinLine report indicates may not work that way

Towns is a smart guy. I think if it has come to this I think it's reasonable to make an assumption KG has some legit fault somewhere along the way that came to this end. Towns will see that. I just hope Glen doesn't say anything he regrets this time...

A very observant twitter tweet... :)

Punch-Drunk Wolves ?@PDWolves 24m24 minutes ago
Probably unrelated to the KG buyout but there's an unrealistic amount of lightning happening over the Target Center area right now.

Steins sources say this buyout is so KG can retire. That's kinda encouraging. We will see.
