Whoa Ewing? Really? That is definitely best case scenario. Patrick was only a Hakeem away from being the most dominant big man since Kareem. If there is a Ewing out there, I want him.

To me that's the absolute best case. Not saying he will hit it, but I think it's possible. I also have below average intelligence so take what I say with a large grain of salt.

Hahahahaha. Duly noted.
Re: Okafor & Towns -- By The Numbers
I have a harder time just looking at numbers. Okafor was the focus of the defenses, while Towns was fresh and able to pick his spots offensively. Defensively Towns had another shotblocker/defender next to him. It just doesn't seem like an apples to apples comparison.
I think Towns versatility is a much better fit for the wolves, particularly if they think Pek is going to come back and play any significant minutes. I don't see Pek and Okafor ever sharing the court effectively.
My biggest issue with Towns is his little friend. That screams "mental issues" to me. Maybe its nothing, but I have always felt that star players have to play with a certain mindset, and I am not sure Towns has that.

The bold is a very good point. It's why pulling up and posting stats is a lot different than having the ability to analyze them.
Re: Okafor & Towns -- By The Numbers
You also have to add that much of his play for a good portion of the year was against back ups, and that the SEC was way down this year. Context matters. I think Okafors offensive stats would have been astronomical had the players switched places.

Damned if I do; damned if I don't on this board.
I've explained my reasoning with the "eye test" and what there is to analyze. In turn, I've been told that I'm embellishing or attempting to make one player look better than he is. Alrighty then
So, I've provided stats to back my claims, mainly that Okafor's effectiveness on offense compared to Towns' offense is not as wide of a margin as their defense. Accordingly, the stats aren't good enough for some of you... even though they're pretty damn convincing.
If you'd like to toss aside the numbers, then do so to benefit your own opinion. I just wonder how this whole matter would play out if Towns was the pre-season No. 1 player with all the hype throughout the year and everything else was the same. Would there be more on the Towns' bandwagon? I say absolutely yes.
Oh, well, gang.

You're taking this too personally. I don't think anyone is focusing their remarks or arguments on Camden. You have made your case very well (and often). But some of these points that are being brought up by other posters also have some validity and merit. It's just good discussion all the way around. And you have been a significant contributor to it.

I'm an eye test guy that supports Towns. I'm not a fan of numbers and stuff because many times it isn't apples to apples.

An article about Towns and his little friend. That doesn't seem crazy to me it seems like a guy finding a way to have an awareness of himself. Yeah it's a little weird but I've always read that people that talk to themselves tend to actually be more intelligent.
Also in this article it mentions Towns wanting to hit 100 jumpers in a row and not leaving till he does it sounds like someone pretty driven to me.
Honestly at this point there probably isn't much left to say about these two guys that hasn't been said unless something new comes out about them. Hopefully we get a terrific player but if we just get a pretty good one I can live with that. The teams that really suck are the ones that totally blow picks and we know EXACTLY what that is all about in all phases of the draft. :(
