It looks like DW is OK at almost everything, which is a lot more than we can say for the other SF's on the team. He is a good team defender since about the half way point of last season. I don't know how shooting 70% from the line cancels out FT shooting? If our team shot 70% from the field, we would win every game. The best part is that he will likely continue to improve, unfortunately we will likely trade him for next to nothing to get another below average vet on the team for Adelman.
SJM....i tried to keep this very simple......what is D-Will good at?

It's over for DWill here in Minnesota. You can't be a former #2 draft pick and then not be able to crack the rotation in your 3rd year. St. Rick better be right about him. For Derrick's sake I hope he gets a fresh start somewhere else and that this doesn't ruin him.

Yeah there was no way he was happy seeing Barea at the 2, Martin at the 3, Cunningham at the 4 and Love at the 5 for Orlando's comeback. There were about 3 or 4 possessions where that lineup could have been pulled before the Magic took the lead. If I was in Williams shoes I would be very frustrated. He has to be gone.

I was actually a little disappointed not to see D-Will in the rotation tonight. I think we could have used a bit more size to keep Orlando off the offensive glass. Adding D-Will to the mix and sitting Shved down would have been preferable in hindsight.

My dad was convinced at the beginning of last year that D-Will should just come in as a 2 against slower guards and Jack 3s. I think he could have gave some of the stuff Shved did. I thought Shved looked ok in the 1st half. But the wheels seemed to come off again for him in the 2nd half.

Williams is above average at drawing fouls and other than that he might be ok at Man post D and some other things, but basically he doesn't have alot significant going on for him. Its not like he doesn't have some good things you can hope he develops, but also don't kid yourself either. Look the guy is 22 (thats the reason for hope) so that gives him some time to figure out his game more. I don't want to give up on the guy yet, but I also don't have my hopes up high either.
Dante has that mid-range jumper thats money and you get energy and team defense from him every night. He is a nice young bench player.
