Bummer. i was looking forward to chase having a solid year for us this season and now he's injured before the season begins.

I think williams and shved benefit the most out of this. With chase out, shved is guaranteed to be the backup sg now with brewer and williams fighting for the starting 3 spot.

Like cool said, I hope dw gets the starting sf nod. I have been a skeptic of williams since hes been on the team. But looking at the salary cap structure of the team, its clear that wiliams is the guy who has the talent to make the diference for the team in being a contender down the road. Im still a skeptic, but as a fan of the team, i do recognioze that he is the guy with the talent to be the key component for us in making that leap. For our sake, i hope he will breakout.

His initial injury wasn't supposed to be a big deal, but he never got back to anywhere close to what he was. I'd rather see a complete ACL tear than messing with this damn cartilage. It's just too unpredictable and seems to always be the beginning of more trouble.

Although I really like bringing Chase back to our team (little overpaid in my opinion), but I agree with you cool.

Cartilage injuries appear (a lot), especially in professional sports, with ACL tear (It well known that you don`t always see it in the firsts examinations).

I heard Flip in the pre-camp press conference and I couldn`t overcome my feeling that Chase is done for the season and maybe even more than that (at least he will never be the same).

This is why you don't overpay guys coming off injuries. Particularly on an injury prone team. Chase should have got a 3 mil/yr deal, and now wouldn't be a big issue. Instead, we have a 3 year deal on a guy that will liklely never even get back to his mediocre play of the past.

So much for being able to move his deal if we needed to!

Rumor has it that Brandon Roy is on the way back. His menisci have miraculously been healed.

I just watched the pre-camp video with Flip.

Hopefully DWill or Shabazz can step up to the challenge.

Really a bummer though. Chase is underrated. Reminds me of Fred Hoibergs role in the good Wolves teams back in the day. No Shabazz won't pick up the slack

I think Shabazz needs to try and be our Jimmy Butler.

He would probably be more successful if he was just a butler.

Ton of hate on Shabazz, but I haven't seen any of you give him credit for dropping 15 pounds. He looks good. DWill looks GREAT. Lost a lot of bulk and I think we're in for a treat with him.
