Chase injured...
And the injury fun starts already:
Per Wolves PR via Twitter:
"The Minnesota Timberwolves today announced that forward Chase Budinger sustained a cartilage injury to his left knee."
"Budinger to visit Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, AL early next week. An update to his status will be provided after that examination."
This opens the door for Dwill for more PT. Also, somewhere Robbie Hummel is smiling.

Re: Chase injured...
Quick question, what knee did he hurt last year. Also Shabazz will need to step up

Re: Chase injured...
I found this old Twitter post from last year:
"Adrian Wojnarowski ? @WojYahooNBA
Budinger had his entire meniscus in left knee repaired by Dr. James Andrews, and source says he will have no lingering issues once healed.
10:48 AM - 13 Nov 2012"
So same knee.

Re: Chase injured...
Yeah, same knee. Bummer.
We'll have to wait and see if this begins a "trend" of injuries like we had last year. But starting before media day?!? Give me a break! :(

Re: Chase injured...
Ugh this is not good news but at least its now so he can maybe get back in time to be a factor in the season. This opens up a chance for a guys like Williams and Bazz. Hopefully someone takes advantage of the opportunity.

And so it begins. Who's next? My money is on Pek with a thigh contusion.

Re: Chase injured...
Chase's situation reminds me a little bit of what Joe Senser once went through with the Vikings. His initial injury wasn't supposed to be a big deal, but he never got back to anywhere close to what he was. I'd rather see a complete ACL tear than messing with this damn cartilage. It's just too unpredictable and seems to always be the beginning of more trouble.

Well at least this is the kind've injury this team can sustain (if it doesn't linger). Still sucks though.
If D-Will and Bazz didn't have enough motivation already, they should now. I do think Brewer is a lock to start now.

Bud was never going to start. It is going to be either Brewer or DWill. For our sake I hope DWill earns the role. That would be good news for all of us.
