Yeah, he's got "potential" to be great. I still believe that. Maybe I'm a homer wearing Ricky Rubio unicorn colored glasses, but so be it.
But even where he is now I like what he brings to the court. The shots aren't falling but I like how he controls the game and gets players involved. I think he's doing enough that the coaching staff should be rolling with him more than they are. Put the ball in his hands and let him fail if that's what it comes down to.
Remember, this is a guy shooting about 8 shots a game. There's a reason for that--he knows that other players, mainly K-Love and Pek, should be taking the shots. His job is to deliver the ball, not to shoot. Maybe some day he will be one of the guys taking the shots, but it isn't this season. That doesn't mean he shouldn't be on the court at the end of the game. He's a flawed player no doubt, but lets roll with him and see what happens. It can't get much worse (well maybe he'll drop to 33% on the season).
