Ricky for Holiday is about fair value, but pek is so much better player then asik. He doesn't score, bad rebounder, doesn't block shots, and shown he's a whiner and quitter.

Ricky for Holiday is not even at all. Holiday is miles better than Ricky. Holiday is averaging more points, the same assists, only 1 less steal and he is miles better than Ricky shooting the ball (40% 3 pt shooter and shooting 11% better from the field overall than Ricky). He has been an all-star. Ricky can't even sniff the all-star game at this point. You really overvalue Ricky if you think he is the same as Holiday. Not to mention Holiday is on a team friendly deal for a past all-star. Holiday is the best player in this deal both in the short and long-term. Imagine trading the worst shooter in NBA history for a guy who makes just as many plays, but can actually shoot the ball. By the way, Asik averaged 10/11/1 last year as a starter. Maybe you should look at some stats before you say he can't rebound and he still outscored Ricky.

Living in New Orleans, I just don't see that happening...Pelicans want to move Gordon, not Holiday.

This trade has no shot of happening anyway. Between Flips incompetence, Morey not making a trade unless he guaranteed fleeces the other team and NO trying to offload a guy who makes 15 million/yr and averages 15 PPG, this didn't have a shot to begin with. It would still fit with what everyone needs though. Good luck trading Gordon. You won't get nearly the value you get in this deal.

I like the trade but don't think NO would go for it. I think and maybe their front office thinks they have a couple stars with Jrue and Davis plus Anderson is a stud so I don't see Pek as a huge upgrade.

Gordon is somewhat interesting though, his contract sucks but I wonder how little we could give to get him?

Unfortunately, the Wolves would also get his injuries and lack of enthusiasm...he was one of my favorite young shooting guards when he was on the Clips, but he just isn't engaged.

{Note: Trade could not happen until 1/15/14 because Pek is a Base-Year with a 20% raise}

Since all three teams have 15 players signed, they would probably all want to trade an equal amount of players. HOU sending Montejunas to MIN solves that.

Also: Pek is the best of the nine players in this trade, and Montejunas is the worst player, and MIN is taking on the most money of the three teams, so MIN gets the pick from HOU. If HOU won't part with their first, then the 2nd they got from NYK (currently #36). Then MIN would have three 2nd's they could use in an attempt to move up, or use to replace Price/take chances on Yurapeein's.

Khans: My compliments. This is the first hypothetical deal you have ever posted that made sense for EACH TEAM. EVER. You may want to deem this your masterpiece and consider STOPPING. But that's totally up to you.

With that in mind, I wouldn't do it because I just don't think the difference between Ricky/Holiday makes up for the difference between Pek/Asik. But I wouldn't scream bloody murder if it were to happen.
