Not exactly sure why we needed another PF. Does Flip think Adrien can backup Dieng any better than Robbie...jeez, he's only 6'7". I like him as a player, but as a PF scorer and rebounder not as a post defender. I guess Flip continues to use Robbie as our backup center and slots Adrien in as our 3rd PF...doesn't help him with his desire to limit Mo's minutes or help our interior defense.

Too bad Brady Heslip can't play defense or handle the ball very well, because he is truly an elite shooter.

LST, Now that Young is back, my guess is that Bennett will backup Dieng and Adrien will backup Young, along with Hummel.

Yeah, that makes more sense, Q...even though AB is only 6-8, his length and bulk makes him more suitable for post defense than Robbie. I like some things about Adrien, but don't expect him to score from outside of 5-6 feet or help us with post defense. I hope he doesn't take any minutes away from Thad, Robbie or AB. Still scratching my head about this pick up.

Have you seen the pipes on this guy?!? Plus he has some bulk.

Adrien might be the one seeing backup minutes at C! Ala Reggie Slater (Bolo) or Craig Smith...

I should have added... Adrien might be auditioning to take Turiaf's spot on the roster. Turiaf's hip problem has a career ending feel to it. :-(

You might be correct on this. But after watching LaVine go off the other night, I was really hoping for another PG and maybe seeing LaVine at SG. From what I saw of that last game, they played LaVine more with Williams (much like preseason). It seems to work out pretty good for both guys...but there should be another PG to give some minutes IMO.

Now that I have researched Adrien's measurements a little more, I've changed my mind. I think Flip is going to use him at center behind Dieng and continue to go with Young/AB/Robbie at PF. Look at Adrien's pre-draft measurements:

http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/Jeff-Adrien-1086/

On one hand, 6'5.25" is way too short for a center, but look at the wingspan and standing reach...7'2" and 8'11.5", both more than AB. He must have freakishly long arms. That standing reach is still 4-5 inches shorter than Pek and Dieng, but more than the guys who have been filling in at C.

I think he plays center for us. If he is physical presence and has a motor he seems like he would be an upgrade over anyone we have playing center. I would really look at Turiaf at this point and decide if we should cut him or not. I still think we could use a backup PG even when Rubio comes back. I would love to see Lavine paired with a PG moving forward if we can.

Hmmmmm, a 6'7" backup big? . . . . or has Flip found our new backup PG?!?!?!

I am hoping Jeff plays bug rather then having a big that plays small. I wish he was 6'10" but I am will to see what he cna do for 16 minutes a night until Pek gets back.
