What about his career 38% from behind the 3 point line?

While I agree with the "addition by subtraction", I don't think your appreciating the "veteran presence" Mo adds to the roster.
Bud was interviewed during one of the summer league games. One question was about hazing, and who is the most likely "instigator" on the Wolves roster. Barea was the answer...

I think Flip has the right idea here in terms of trying to find a backup that is a decent outside shooter. It's just that Mo isn't really good at anything and even his 3-point shooting has started to tail off a bit. It's a one-year deal and that's a good thing.

Whenever people use the term "veteran presence", I see it as an optimistic way of saying they are older and mediocre. That would be Mo Williams.

They're only a bad shot if you miss.
Which happens a lot. The best mid-range jump shooters typically hit between 40 and 45% of their shots from that range. The problem is it only counts for 2 points. Give me dunks, layups, free throws, and 3 pointers. That's the diet of efficiency! Hopefully he has a bounce-back year with his 3 point shot and gets it back up to 38% or better. That would help.

He is a career .435 shooter. I think any Wolves fan would appreciate having a pg that can shoot above 40%
Very Good signing. Mo will give us a vet that can shoot and run the 2nd team. All 3 are what we need. A vet, shooting and someone to run the 2nd team. I'm not sure what happens with jj but if Rubio, Luke and jj could co exist then mo can too but more likely bares will be moved.
This could be like the turiaf signing last year where we get a vet that can contribute and be a mentor to the younger guys. These are the type of signings a successful team usually do. Signing vets who can still play on short term contracts at market value.

I agree Q. It is very similar to saying a guy won't hurt you, which is another way of saying he has no skills and shouldn't be touching the ball (Hummel anyone). I can't believe you have a problem with signing Mo for 3.7, but you are OK with the Hummel signing.
Not to beat a dead horse (too late), but why did Flip sign Hummel now? Why not wait till the Love thing shook out. Not too likely that he was getting other offers. We now have a full roster, but hopefully several moves to make. Flip said he wanted 2 way players. The closest Robbie comes to that is falling down while running both directions.
