Makes sense from everything I've heard. I love Brewer, but I'm certainly good with dealing him.
Well hopefully they announce a trade when he's signed even if they have to wait 30 days to officially do it. BTW, you can remove Haywood from that deal and it still works. I doubt they'd want to include him unless they had to. That deal with work for me, but I'm really torn on who I would want to unload in terms of Brewer/Bud/Martin b/c I'm looking at how they would fit with the young prospects.
The more I think about it, the more I believe Brewer makes sense for both teams. Minnesota needs to keep as many shooters as possible since Love is being sent out, and Wiggins could slide into Brewer's role as soon as his rookie year. For Cleveland, Brewer could be an energy guy off the bench or even start for them. His offensive/defensive stats say he's better suited as a SG, and a Brewer/Miller wing combo off the bench would be nice for them if that's the route they took.
I agree, Cam. Brewer to Cleveland as part of a Love-Wiggins deal would make sense for both teams for the reasons you gave. I have to believe that The Cavs signing Wiggins would be a prelude to a Love-Wiggins deal including an additional player, probably Brewer, going to the Cavs.
I agree Cam. We need shooters desperately, so if we were to ship out another rotation-worthy wing to make things work, Brewer seems like the right candidate.
Now Rusillo is tweeting that one of his sources says Wiggins/Bennett and a first was originally accepted and then turned down because Flip wanted more with another source saying Wiggins was never on the table. How can sources be 180 degrees apart? That just means someone is completely out of the loop which makes you wonder how they are a source to begin with.

There would have had to be more for salary matching purposes.
We have this in the bag right? Wiggins signing makes it easier to match salary. It will need 30days to be made official though per the rules.(a stupid rule in my view).
A question though, if it is agrreed upon and we submit the proposal to the league for approval after 30days. Can we at least sent a trainer or assistant to work with wiggins during the 30days wait? Can we at least have verbal communication with wiggins during this time period?

Good question. I'd think a player can work out with whomever they want though. Maybe not an actual training staff, but certainly players.
Wiggins signing probably doesn't mean anything either way but they probably have to sign him soon I would think it would be a little uncomfortable not having my contract signed. They need to take care of that.
If the Cavs want a vet back from the Wolves Brewer makes the most sense. He is an energy defensive guy and remember he has won a title and it was against Lebron. Lol Cleveland signed shooters they could use a guy like brewer who could defend different positions and just give energy. I'd like to keep him but a vet wing is probably gonna be traded. Part of me wonders what this team does if it ends up with Waiters suddenly there is a lot of guys that will want minutes at SG.
I do think its possible Flip asks for more than the Cavs want to give up for Love and a deal doesn't get done. How much value does the Cavs organization really have for guys other than Wiggins? I have no idea I don't know how I value them myself.

I'm thinking Wiggins/TT/Bennett/1st/filler for Love/Brewer or Bud/filler.
Keeping Brewer gives the 2nd unit an athletic defender and we can always resign Hummel or something, but if it takes Brewer to get that 1st next year then so be it.
