To phoneix for picks and then sign Pau Gasol

Brandon you are such a Basshole!

Sorry just had to get that out of me.

Pek for Luol Deng sounds like the most realistic and beneficial I've heard so far. Martin and Deng as starting wings sounds so much more appealing than what we currently have. It would also allow C Brew to return to the bench and be our 6th man, a role I think best suits him.

Why are we considering moving Pekovic?

Of all the title contenders do any of them have a Pek type player? Not to mention at a 12mil/yr clip.

I like a sign-and-trade of Pek for Deng. I also like Pek to Sixers for Young. Maybe a sign-trade for Pau Gasol.

I get the love for Deng because he's a great player, but I don't get adding another SF to the roster when we already have 5 under contract...6 SF's on a roster of 15 is a serious imbalance. We end up with too many $ invested in guys who will never see the court. What we really need is a new starting SG so Martin can be our instant offense off the bench.

Just don't ask me who that SG is...I'm only good at shooting down other people's ideas. .

For me it's more about quality, regardless of quantity. We have 1 quality SG in Martin and an OK SF with Brewer so a good SF like Deng fills more of a need. I also think some of the SF's you're counting would be fine at SG. I think Bud has actually been primarily a SG and Brewer can hustle just as much as a SG as a SF plus he wouldn't get out muscled as often.
