Do we prefer a Rudy centered offer or a 2033 1st centered offer? Would it take both and would you offer both?
Wolves fan commiserate here!

Rudy has to be in the trade financially assuming Naz and Jaden are not in the trade.
Melo could be folded into the Julius trade, in theory but I assume the Hornets would be looking at Rudy in this scenario. I think the timing of this reporting might indicate the option of adding this into the Julius trade.kekgeek wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 10:50 pmRudy has to be in the trade financially assuming Naz and Jaden are not in the trade.
Would you do Rudy + TSJ or 33 or 32 pick swap. Do we need to add more than Rudy. Lamelo has such weird value.
Lamelo and Beringer would be a super fun combo.
Wolves would go from a super slow team to a super fast team.
Give me Lamelo be asking for him forever
Tonight Matt Lloyd addressed the fact that teams have already been contacting them since they have that trade exception to absorb salaries etc. Connelly is always calling teams ( it's his job) but now the Wolves are a team that can accept salary so they are gonna be looped into just about any deal because teams may be seeing if they will find a way to make the trade work.Phenom wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 10:57 pmMelo could be folded into the Julius trade, in theory but I assume the Hornets would be looking at Rudy in this scenario. There could very well be a Rudy replacement to be had within that exception (as well as the MLE) if it were a Rudy for Melo swap.Monster wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 11:01 pmTonight Matt Lloyd addressed the fact that teams have already been contacting them since they have that trade exception to absorb salaries etc. Yeah, I just don't see why Charlotte trade Melo without getting something tangible back that helps next season. It would have to be Rudy. (unless Charlotte is the one looking for a salary dump -- then it can be merged into the Randle trade)Phenom wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 11:05 pmThere could very well be a Rudy replacement to be had within that exception (as well as the MLE) if it were a Rudy for Melo swap.Monster wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 11:01 pmTonight Matt Lloyd addressed the fact that teams have already been contacting them since they have that trade exception to absorb salaries etc. Connelly is always calling teams ( it's his job) but now the Wolves are a team that can accept salary so they are gonna be looped into just about any deal because teams may be seeing if they will find a way to make the trade work.
I feel like he's in on names that don't seen practical or feasible to add just to say he did so that in the event that things don't happen, he can say "we tried."Q-is-here wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 10:22 pmC'mon, you seriously think that a guy that built a title team and has been at this for quite a while is so insecure that he has to put himself in rumors as a way to curry favor with the fanbase?WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 10:16 pm I want Tim Connelly to understand that simply being interested and having that report leak is not impressive. Connelly is ALWAYS on the phone and talking to everyone. The Wolves' come up in literally every big-name trade and then usually something totally unexpected happens that no one reported.
That is likely correct but I was making a case for a 2033 first-centric package being possible.60WinTim wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 11:12 pmYeah, I just don't see why Charlotte trade Melo without getting something tangible back that helps next season. Thomas was like McHale. He was the king of 'we tried'.WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 11:23 pmI feel like he's in on names that don't seen practical or feasible to add just to say he did so that in the event that things don't happen, he can say "we tried."Q-is-here wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 10:22 pmC'mon, you seriously think that a guy that built a title team and has been at this for quite a while is so insecure that he has to put himself in rumors as a way to curry favor with the fanbase?WildWolf2813 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 24, 2026 10:16 pm I want Tim Connelly to understand that simply being interested and having that report leak is not impressive. It looks better than not being in on these guys, watching them go somewhere else, and then during the press conference where we signed John Collins to the MLE, he can say those teams went in a different direction.
Work on filling out the bench, work on finding more UDFA's (to this point we haven't heard of any signings besides our 2nd rounders) and go to battle.
This reminds me of when Isiah Thomas swore he was in on signing Kobe to the Knicks even though all he had was the MLE
