There have been lots of PG/lead guards to watch in SL so far. There are various sizes shapes and overall skillsets. Watching them live there is a few things to consider.

Defense they face. Okorie was being manhandled in the first half of his game. At first Philon was not guarded particularly closely. That changed after his hot start and only ramped up. His frustration level went up as the game went on. Okorie either didn't have guys on him as hard the 2nd half or found his way to get it done through it. I think it was some of both.

What kind of defense did Pullin face? Acuff? Did they get a runway to do their thing? Pullin definitely was picked up a lot 3/4 court he had to work pretty hard at times. Acuff did things at pretty much every level of the floor especially after he cut out some poor shots early on.

Pullin is around 6 months younger than Bones Hyland. Collin Gillespie turned 27 last month and got a nice contract and might be a a solid starting PG. There is room for players to find their way and become valuable players in their mid to late 20's. Do the Wolves have a couple guards that have a change to be key rotation guards? I think they do. Are they certain to do so? No. Lets see how Pullin looks the rest of the summer league.

My guy, Bruce Thornton, was a +20 with 27 points, 3 assists, 3 rebounds, 3 steals and only 1 turnover in Houston’s win last night. Let’s see what Isaiah Thomas can do later today.

Carter Bryant playing some legit minutes in the NBA finals and now starting in SL.

Emannual Miller (Spurs) is definitely related to his Brother. Both guys play with a certain frenetic energy.

Ja'Kobi Gillespie has looked good for the Spurs so far.

I started watching the Raptors Rockets game and Nix was playing PG and man he does not look slimmer! It's funny though he still moves super well on D. Some guy was trying to put moves on him and he slipped and still easily got back in front of him. A while later Bruce Thornton checks in for him and looks small in comparison. Lol

Edit: There was someone wearing a Wolves Nix jersey today.

Also Nix is still only 24!?!

TKR's frontcourt partner at Purdue Oscar Cliff is playing for Houston summer league team. We need him to continue our collection of Australian basketball players!

Nix is a talented dude, but gets a little too full of himself out there and inevitably either makes a bad turnover or chucks up an ill-advised shot. But yeah, he can be a dog out there.

Nix just got a technical for pointing after he got an an-1. Lol

Tristin Newton also on the rockets has been solid except the really bad foul on a 3 point shooter. Nix Thornton and Newton finished the 3rd quarter all on the floor together.

I'll add some observations on my time in vegas the last few days.

I went to Kenny Chesney concert at the Sphere. It was an absolutely fantastic experience. I had gone to the Sphere last November and Saw Wizard of Oz and it was cool and I thought a concert would be really good and it easily exceeded my expectations. I'm not a massive Kenny Chesney fan (I enjoy his stuff) but he was good and his bad was really enjoyable to watch as well.

Yesterday I went to The Valley Of Fire State park. Maybe of the more exciting trails to see things were closed for the season due to the heat but it was still pretty neat. There was one drive I went back and did it again because it was just awesome coming down and seeing the few of the various rock formations. I'm hoping to come back another time. I had a rental car for my trip but Airbnb (I'm sure other places) have tours that seem pretty reasonable consider you have to drive out there pay to get in etc. I liked being able to do my own thing but especially for one person a tour for like $150 ain't a bad deal and I'm cheap. Lol

Fremont Street experience later in the evening is a fun vibe. They have live music every night on 3 different stages. Most of them are cover bands but they are pretty good. One tonight I think has some original music so I think I will go again tonight. They have some original artists also every couple weeks the other night it was Sleeping with Sirens and the immediate area around the stage was really packed. If you don't mind walking a couple blocks you can park on the street on like 3rd Street south of the Fremont experience. It seemed pretty safe to me. Those streets are maybe surprisingly clean.
