How is Bazz not a good fit? Bazz at SF, Wiggins at SG. They have the potential to be a damn good pairing.
Yeah, it would be pretty big balls to trade Bazz when his development is skyrocketing. Yeah, you might be able to sell high, but you could look damn foolish selling too soon!
I think Bazz in the starting lineup has been a factor in Wiggins explosion. Bazz demands so much more attention than Brewer...
Imagine if we had Rubio with those 2. I am salivating for some real basketball from this team.
YUSSSS I can't wait for when Rubio is back and has his legs under him. Hopefully it doesn't take him more than a week or 2 to be fully back once he's back in the lineup.
I'm not on the Bazz Bandwagon sorry. I think he should be on the second team rather than start. He's a good scorer (except when I started him in fantasy bb and he laid an egg), and decent rebounder, but still sucks at virtually everything else. He's also not a great athlete. I do like that he has shown some improvement in other areas and perhaps he'll change my mind, but I see his best role as a bench scorer.

While I don't necessarily disagree that his best role might be as a high-scoring 6th man (although I like him starting too), I don't agree that he sucks at everything else. 9 assists in the past two games is an indication of how much better he has gotten at distributing the ball. It's really been a remarkable transformation. At the start of the year, I seldom saw him looking to make the productive pass...now he does it with regularity. Is he a complete NBA player yet? Of course not. But with his drive to get better, we should not be surprised to see continued improvement...and he's already pretty good. I scoffed at his pre-season comment that his goal was to be an all-star. But what's important is that he believes it, and will work his ass off to get there.
Yeah, I agree that Bazz's current best role on paper would be 6th man scorer. But given the circumstances, I don't really have a problem with him starting. With Brewer gone, who else would be a better choice? But yeah, longer term, he still has things to improve upon in order to be a more well-rounded player.
We all love some of the improvement and production we've seen from Dieng, Shabazz, and Wiggins, but the fact remains that they make up 3/5ths of the starting lineup of one of the worst teams in basketball and one of the worst defenses in the history of the league. All these guys have a long ways to go yet.
Okafur, Dieng, Wiggins, Ricky and Lavine would be a nice core and I'd like Shabbaz as a bench scorer and GR3 could be a nice glue guy who can fit in where best needed
Could we turn Martin into Calderon on a 3 team trade? The Knicks want to get rid of him apparently. We could have the team spain pg rotation. This would force Zach into the 2 guard role. I've always liked Calderon and think he would fit nicely on our team generally.

Even with 2 years 14-15 mill left on his deal? Idk, I wouldn't mind if it involved unloading someone else. Young & Williams out with Calderon & a PF coming in. Would take a 3 team deal probably.

I assumed we would have to get creative. As it stands we are paying Martin about the same moving forward. I think at this point it is fair to assume we need a better back up plan for Rubio getting injured each year. Moving young would be fine by me too, call up Flip.
