Agreed. I definitely see the potential in him and he needs playing time. If he gets good run and performs well in the G-league then adds some weight this offseason, I could see him being a factor heading into next year's training camp. He absolutely has some shake and skills with elite length.

Well, he's a good shooter and a proven scorer, but I'd have a fighting chance of putting up 20 on him. Worth a chance to see if he can improve on that side of the ball.
Has anyone heard any indication if they are sending down Hagans and McDaniels? I really hope they do, but they may decide not to since it would be really hard to bring them back up from Iowa in the event we needed them to fill in for injuries/Covid protocol.

It would be a shame if they weren't able to go down there and play. The thing is that it's not that many games and practicing with an NBA team will have plenty of value for them. McDaniels will get some garbage time run. Hagans may need some injuries/Covid stuff to even get that just because how many guards there are.

I think it would be the best of both worlds for these two if they went to the G-League bubble. They have already had a lot of exposure to practice with the main NBA team, so I think getting a fairly intense experience of lots of games in a bubble with other fringe NBA talent (but better than college talent) would be very beneficial to these guys. McLaughlin for sure shouldn't go down there, but Hagans and McDaniels make sense.

Isn't the G-league season this year only like 15 games? Id rather them play in those games but it's not like a regular G-league season where it's 30+ games.

Correct. But that's my point, the compressed nature of the G-League season means they still get plenty of time with the NBA team AND they get to play a bunch of minutes in real competition in a short timeframe versus the garbage time minutes they get now.

With the talk of possibly adding a 3rd 2-way contract and how things played out for the Wolves the last few days...I dont think the 2-way guys will be playing in Iowa. McDaniels has looked pretty decent the last couple of games in real NBA minutes even if it wasn't against high end NBA teams that's encouraging.

Yes indeed. Things have changed dramatically in the last couple weeks since we first started talking about this. Layman getting benched and Juancho getting sidelined with Covid opened the door for both Vando and McDaniels to get meaningful playing time. So I agree McDaniels won't get sent down.
Hagans on the other hand I think still might be a possibility. That's assuming Rubio recovers and isn't traded. Plus Nowell can play some backup PG in a pinch, so I'd really like to see Hagans sent down.
