Why do you dislike Culver so much. I know you didn't like him out of the draft. But I think you are one of the least bias and a super thoughtful posters here but it feels like with Culver you have an extreme sour spot for him

Honestly he's warming on me. The shooting is a problem but his movement is way beyond what my assumptions were. Im hoping he continues to improve. My problem was always that we needed shooting so bad and a long term replacement for Teague, I didnt really feel we needed Culver. I hope he proves me wrong in every way.

Abe's Late Night DVR Review:

- Hard-fought game. Utah remains an excellent defensive team and its top two scorers shot 11 - 21 on three pointers.

- Meanwhile... Covington and Towns combined for only 15 total shots. They shot 60%. Everybody else shot 37%. Part of being a good defensive team is forcing the issue and forcing certain guys to shoot. The Jazz did that tonight. They'll gladly let Graham, Culver and Okogie fire away.

- Obviously, Towns didn't get enough shots. (1) That's the vice of building around a big. You can't automatically guarantee a good look by just handing it to him in the backcourt. (2) He made the "right" play several times... only to see Graham or Culver miss open looks. Will he be patient moving forward as those guys brick more and more of those wide open shots?

- The changes are coming. We don't need to see Graham miss any more of those wide open shots to know that he's just not the right fit for this system. It's that round pegs in square holes or whatever right now with this roster.

- 13 assists. Yuck. But that goes back to Utah. They move well on defense and forced the Wolves out of their sets.

- The Wolves shot 31% on threes... right on the season average. It'll be much more fun to see this offense and what it can do when it has the right personnel. Right now, it's not even remotely close to the right fit.

- It's not a terrible loss. Utah is good and was motivated.

- Will be interesting to see if other teams emulate what the Jazz did with Towns by sending multiple guys at him... and what the Wolves do to counter.

Wigs 3 is still too flat to be consistent.

I'm not surprised to see Mitchell rebound with a good game, his misses last game, which many were open shots helped the Wolves win that one.

Wolves shot the ball poorly, Utah shot well in the second half. That was the story of the game.

This is another missed opportunity game like when they lost to Houston. Still if the Wolves play like this most of the season they will win a nice chunk of games.

Wiggins was pretty good in his return which was nice to see. He had some real highlight moments.

Jeff Teague...what an unfortunate night for him. It's young to not go with a PG down the stretch but I would have considered going with someone else.

Graham hit 2 threes!!!!! And we lost. Lol Man if he could even shoot 30% from 3 he would be so much more worthwhile.

Towns the Jazz and the Wolves combined and some foul trouble early kept him from having more of an impact. His ability to shoot the ball...is like pretty good and stuff.

I thought I'm this game I saw flashes of Covington kinda figuring out some of his help defense calculus as a PF. I think as he gets used to that position you will see him disrupt things more and more.

Kelan Martin looks like a legit baller. I mean at this point he looks like a scorer off the bench that at least puts forth effort on D and has some clue of what he is supposed to do. It feels like we may have lucked into something moderately worthwhile. Maybe we can sign him to one of those cheap long term deals. He might play himself into Jake Layman money the way he is going right now.

So even though Teague couldn't hit his shots and passed up some 3's Martin's good play and Wiggins looking good after a lay-off makes me feel good about this game. 8-7 after 15? I'll take it.

Wiggins had an off night shooting, but still nothing like what we've seen in the past. It happens!

Ridiculous officiating to bench our two best players in the first 5 minutes, at home no less.

Continually left Bogdonovich wide open for 3's.

Pathetic shooting from team overall. Need to learn to layoff the contested 3's. Maybe Okogie shouldn't be taking 28 footers with 16 seconds left on the shot clock. We need the poor shooters to continue to move the ball quicker.

Biggest problem was Teague. Horrible on offense and defense tonight.
