maybe there is some truth to jimmy causing the break up between kat and his girl in july.

I guess this what jimmy meant by mentoring the younger players.

Bobby Phils just called. Every NBA feud is about a woman or a gambling debt.

I absolutely believed that rumor when I read it. Stop and think: Most, if not all, of the REALLY bad feuds between players have been women/gambling related. With the exception of Shaq, who will start a fight about touches and/or endorsements, who else cares about anything else?

To be fair though... wasn't the Shaq vs. Kobe feud also about chicks... sorta?

Wasn't Kobe on record with the police about Shaq's extramarital shenanigans?

I think what you fail to realize is that Taylor gave Thibs a mandate to win now. Thibs tried it with the young guys for one season and they could barely muster 30 wins. So he traded for Jimmy Butler, which the vast majority of objective observers lauded. And what have the players/prospect he traded away done in this past season?

While there is a lot to criticize Thibs about, he did exactly what was mandated to him by Taylor. He finally posted a winning record and got into the playoffs. Regardless of what happens, we finally got that effing monkey off our back. I'll take it.

If the Wolves are stuck trading with those three teams... yuck.

1) None of them care about winning this season, so why give up quality players when they can just sign Butler + Kyrie (or whoever) next summer.
2) I'm not keen on too many prospects from those teams.
3) Did Butler really make Thibodeau travel out to California just to tell him right before training camp "Trade me now!"

The Wolves. 30 years of futility... and counting. Anybody know of a good Celtics message board?

Wait, are you an Ogre apologist? Glen wanted multiple championships not this crap. I think Glen is a terrible owner (so I won't defend him) but I can assure you he is very displeased with Ogre. Playoffs, schmayoffs, who cares? If you think being in the top 16 out of 30 teams with ten of them actively tanking is an accomplishment, then I can't help you. Why don't you go buy a "Wolves made the playoffs" t-shirt, I hear they are very popular.

The idea that somehow Stephen Jackson is gonna light a fire under Wiggins is funny to me. I'm pretty sure it's not the first time someone has told him he has no heart.

Based on the information before us now...I'll admit to being duped. In addition it seems quite likely this was brewing for a while. Butler didn't just wake up a couple days ago and decide he wanted to be traded. Teams have likely called on Butler the past few weeks and it's being reported The Wolves have had no willingness to move him...but teams likely have called. There was likely some info out there this was a possible outcome. The Wolves are likely not starting from square one when it comes to a Butler deal. These deals can take time but I'm guessing some of the process has already started even before this meeting this week and some teams have had legit conversations more than just a few hours ago about what they would give up to get Butler if the opportunity presented itself. It's gonna be an interesting few weeks.

Buy why are we "stuck"? Any team can make a bid for Jimmy then try to convince him to stay. Obviously this worked with Paul George in OKC. We certainly won't get dollar for dollar back, but I don't feel like we are limited to these three teams just because Jimmy said so.

But let's pretend we are stuck. Yes, those three teams can all sign him in free agency. But only one will actually be successful. I gotta think at least a couple of these teams would prefer to be aggressor and not just hope they can convince Jimmy to sign. And all it takes is one team to make an offer for him and then the others may follow suit.

If butler doesnt get moved this week. It will be interesting this coming monday seeing butler, wiggins and towns posing together in media day. Halleluah.

The wolves are screwed now. We have to move butler and we have no real leverage. I dont trust butler to be a professional and play ball if we start the season with him. This could turn out to be like the kawhi situation except jimmy is not as good or valued as kawhi is.

I think KG pretty much has said it. Let's face it, Wiggins will get selectively motivated against a couple of teams and go the extra mile. But for the most part, we won't see it. I still have hope that may be, just may be, he actually develops a decent outside shot. We're stuck with him, so I gotta root for the guy, especially after this Butler B.S.

Not a Thibs apologist, but yes, would love to buy that T-shirt! They weren't going to win more than 35 games with the crew they had if not for the Butler trade. So yes, I'll take a winning record and trip to the playoff versus yet another season of losing.
