I think I would like us to take a chance on Zion. His value has to be pretty low at the moment. Feel Ant could bring back his love for the game. High risk but high reward. Wonder what they would want for him.
Hard bleeping no!
I'm gonna circle back to Sabonis though since someone brought him up earlier. I was actually pondering his fit before the season ended.
Early disclaimer: I personally really like the way Sabonis plays ball. He smart, reads the floor really well, just out works everybody, and wants to beat the shit out of you. I respect it
Having said that, given it some thought and dug into what Kings fans and pundits say about the guy as well as watched this very informative video.

I would love to see the Wolves get him on the roster cause I think he totally unlocks Ant and Naz on offense. Watching the breakdown above helped confirm my suspicions about what he could add and shed some light on other factors I was less aware of.
First the fact that he has such great touch around the rim! Part of what made me circle back to Sabonis on the Wolves was listening to locked on Wolves and they mentioned a prospect with great touch at the rim, and it just made me think... "how often did the Wolves just need Rudy to be able finish on non lobs"
Second, while watching the video I realized how often the kings got Sabonis the ball 9-12 feet from the rim and he was able to do something with it. How often did the Wolves foolishly give Rudy an entry pass in that area to just watch the possession get wasted!? Any is actually pretty ok at this pass to Rudy, he just doesn't look for him on the lob. I'm willing to bet a more reliable player in this area of the floor would get a lot more passes from Ant.
The big one tho, and something I didn't know, Sabonis plays fast! He grabs rebounds and runs the floor, he gets the ball and makes quick decisions, he moves the damn ball and set up offense with screens and all kinds of things! It's in the video, but he stands as a peer with Jokic as getting a LOT of passes but being very low in regards to how many minutes he posses the ball. He and Jokic are complete outliers in this regard and I just love that on this team!
I believe I'll be fairly lonely on this hill but I personally think Sabonis is extremely underrated and would immediately jump this team to championship caliber (assuming the trade isn't too crazy)
I'm no good at understanding how trades work in the NBA with 2nd apron restrictions and salary matching so I don't how possible it is, but I do think it's exactly the kind of risk this team should take if they want to shake things up.
For whatever it's worth, Sabonis is under contract for three more years at 43, 46 and 49. So he's not cheap. Randle would be at 31 with his option and Rudy is 35 this year.
I'm not sure how the numbers work but I do know that there are rumblings that Domontas could be on his way out.
