I wonder if Wade wants Butler to play for Heat.

Damn I would be disappointed.

The Reports have been the Wolves have shown no interest in moving Tyus. If Dragic is in the deal I could see him (or Teague) flipped to the Suns for an asset. Worth remembering Dragic's national team coach is now coach of the Suns. I might like Dragic a little more than Teague but having the same PG from last year while maybe getting a better asset from the Suns sounds good to me. It's gonna be interesting to see how this plays out.

Which has the longer contract? Though I'd prefer Dragic play style for this team, I'm all for whoever comes off the books first between Dragic as neither are the long term answer. Keep Tyus for our longterm backup, he can be a great general for out bench.

I'd like something like this:
MN: 1st round pick from either suns or Miami, Richardson, TJ Warren, a filler big from whatever team (richaun Holmes, Kosta koufus?)
Miami: Butler
Suns: Dragic
Kings: first rounder from heat or suns, Gorgui Dieng

Wolves getting too much there? I'd happily lose the 1st for a couple seconds if we could get those players. Hell, I'd give up any picks. Just have the suns send the 1st to the kings, Miami gives up dragic and Richardson.

Teague
Wiggins
Richardson
Taj
KAT

Sixth man: Warren

Bench:
Tyus
Drose
Okogie
Diop
Deng
Kosta

Isn't Anthony Bennett still with the Nets? Why isn't he part of this conversation?

I'm usually pretty good at figuring out somewhat accurate trade values for Wolves players... but amid the timing of this... Butler's contract stuff... his age/injuries... how desperate the Wolves are to unload Dieng... and the overall weirdness of the situation...

And I don't really know what's going to be out there.

[Note: I'm pretty sure the Heat are just as desperate to get out from under Whiteside's deal. And Tyler Johnson's... so I'm sure there are many many teams being included in any trade talks.]

Teague and Dragic have nearly identical contracts: This year and then a player option for next season, both of whom I think take their player option given the plethora of solid-ish point guards around these days.

Yeah this seems like it could end up being one of those insane 4 team deals. If we get a player, a prospect, and a good draft pick from this deal I will be super impressed.

I don't even care about another pick. As far as I know we own all of ours from here on out? We have two 23 or under players signed to max deals, a young backup pg, a 1st rounder in patton, and two promising wings we just drafted - all of them need to be developed. Give me a starting sf and actual bench talent.

1st round picks are hugely valuable for trades and for talent acquisition. If we can get one that would be amazing and very helpful moving forward even if we don't keep it.
