It won't apply to me unless Payne becomes a solid rotation player and I continue to say it was a bad trade. Then I will have to eat my words.

BTW: I really like having you and TRKO on-board as regular posters.

Appreciate that Bleedspeed. I think there are lots of good posters on here. I do think sometimes guys get too locked into "proving they are right" vs. just stating their case/opinion and moving on. However, I can't be a hypocrite as I've fell into that trap myself too. It can be tough letting someone else have the last word - lol! But overall - this certainly is a pretty good discussion board compared to some of the other places I've checked out.

This applies to me. Lol most of the times, though, I believe I need to do both. It depends on who you're talking to on the board, in my opinion.

Let's be honest. It applies to me and several other guys too. It's tough in the heat of the debate, but sometimes we all just need to take a step back to allow for others/differing opinions vs. jamming our own down everyone's throats. I'll try and be better at that myself - but no promises LOL.

I've realized that sometimes the only reason I post or reply is just to prove a point and that's made me not reply. It's been good but sometimes I can't help myself but I try to add to the conversation but sometimes I probably fail.

Also who wants to be wrong? Lol

Well I would be happy to be wrong if Bennett turns out to be a HOF PF for the Wolves even Cam would. Lol

He likes Flip, Wiggins and is a KG guy.

For those who think he'd never come here. FWIW. I wonder if Bump will ask Flip about it.

Interesting.. If true that clearly tells you bigger named people in the NBA realize the talent we have on this team.

Woj weighs in.

Good read and it just further positions me on the side of Thibs in the coach vs Bulls management situation. After all these are the same complete and utter morons who dismantled the Jordan/Pippen era b/c they didn't like the coach anymore.

I just hope the Hoiberg chatter is false and there isn't some understanding that he will accept the Bulls job. Even if Hoiberg doesn't come here and hope the Bulls end up like the 49ers and strike out on option 1-5 and end up having to settle for a coach.

I hope Flip does a full court press on Hoiberg unless he himself has some understanding/agreement with him already. If that doesn't work he should at least take a look at Thibs.

I will admit sometimes if I see the board too strongly positioned on an issue (Like this Thibs one) I will take an opposing viewpoint even though my real thoughts aren't as strong as my argument. So I guess I'm one who likes a good debate every once in a while. I also don't like to follow the crowd and that can lead to a lot of disagreements.

Thibs was an assistant for us from 89'-91'. He's already been here so I wouldn't be shocked if we hear pieces about him being ok to come here. Also because he is a defensive coach I don't think there'd be many issues between him and Flip because Flip cares about the offensive side of the ball and Flip played Wiggins and Lavine 39 MPG's a game down the stretch last year anyway so he's fine stretching guy's minutes. When you look at it Thibs could be coaching a team with a starting 5 of Ricky/Lavine/Wiggins/KG/Towns. I don't care how good AD is that lineup has some really good defensive potential even with how young it is. I'll always worry about the offense with Thibs and I've seen him turn guys like Deng and Noah into corpses with the minutes and injuries they've had to deal with, but I don't doubt he'd be able to make us a pretty good defensive team with that lineup.

Nope. Thibs is the devil and he's not allowed in Minnesota. He can't win in the West and he's weak in the playoffs. Forget that guy. :d

Just spot checked a couple guys, but is there even any validity to the "he runs guys into the ground" theory? It looks to me like there are many star players that play the 35-40 min. LBJ has AVERAGED 39.3 mpg for his career...and he misses little time. Now, the other thing I have heard is it is games, along with practices. Maybe this is true...but this angle seems a bit fabricated. Deng did play a lot of minutes, but Noah has averaged only about 34 mpg over the past 5 seasons. Doesn't seem bad.

The other more selfish piece in this regard is this.....coaches in today's world are not TYPICALLY in position very long. They have a limited window to win, and get an extension, thus it is in their best interest to play the guys that put the team (and thus himself) in the best position to win now. Whether we like it or not, this coach will likely not be around later in a players career (think a guy like Wiggins), thus he probably doesn't think much about the ramifications of minutes played over the course of a younger players career. We love longevity of our players, but coaches typically don't have the luxury.
